Hola Amigos! I'm Sandra. I like to believe that people are 70 percent good and 30 percent dumb. I'm stickin to that story. Reading this blog might make you want to be good, but probably just dumb.
26. Length of song title bothers me
Friday, 21 July 2006

Seems like the longer a song title is you can expect less from it.

It seems that the songs I listen to, that I think are good, have short titles like one word, maybe two or three. But when a song title reaches 6 words, it just doesn't roll off your tongue when you say it, much less sing along to it. Just weird.

John Mayer's new song from his cd Continum: Waiting for the World to Change. I don't know... I read some reviews of the song and heard a short clip of it online, and it sounds like the beat a Marvin Gaye song.

I have been waiting for John Mayer to put out a new cd. I'll probably still buy it, and I'll eventually probably like the song. It's also a song with a political message. One that I agree with. And I just happen to like John Mayer a lot. So, I'll give it a shot. I'm sure it'll grow on me.

Oh and for those of you who care. John Mayer's Sept. 18th concert was sold out, and they added another for the 19th at Red Rocks. And he'll be playing with David Ryan Harris, who is pretty awesome. I might have to shell out some moola for that one.

28. I hate the Avalanche!
Thursday, 29 June 2006

Alex Tanguay is gone! ...When did this happen. Traded to the Calgary Flames for a defenseman and a second-round draft pick.

Tanguay was the only reason for me to watch. All my favorite players on the team are gone.

My Avalanche team will be hollow. I'll cheer when they win and feel bad when they lose, but whatever.  Now they will probably have enough money to sign Blake. whoopee...

What a bad start to the day...

29. The concert I wanted to go to is today
Wednesday, 28 June 2006

I've been talking about how I want to go to a concert and haven't been to one in a little over a year. I should have bought my Rob Thomas and Jewel tickets a long time ago and gotten this day off so I could go to Red Rocks and enjoy some time off a some of my favorite songs.

I can't miss John Mayer this fall. I can't! It would be the second or third time I miss him coming to Colorado. I'm going to go save up my money soon as I can.

30. I didn't go to the Lake House movie.
Tuesday, 27 June 2006

I need to watch that movie. I like Sandra Bullock and I sort of like Keanu. What kind of name is Keanu?

Anyway.... back to Lake House! It just sounds really cool. A relationship across time like that. very interesting.... and it's always good to get in a good cry every once in a while.

Girls will know what I'm talking about... guys can roll their eyes... but I'm not talking to you anyway.

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
