11. Damn American Idol
Wednesday, 11 April 2007

I'm really trying hard to do well in this American Idol game we have going on here.  I've tried picking the losers by age (because we all know "they" will never let someone over 25 win), but that did not work.  Then I tried picking by looks.  Now, I know this sounds bad but....

a) I'm not the only one doing it

b) We also know "they" wouldn't let someone who looks like a total weirdo win either.

However, both of those methods have failed me.  So, today I went with the idea that I should just pick the last 3 guys left as my bottom 3 for tonight and then just choose one of them as the one that goes home.  So, I did that.  Then I found out Sanjaya was a guy.....oops.

12. Spring or Winter?
Thursday, 29 March 2007

We all know March is supposed to be the snowiest month.  However, when we have the 60 and 70  degree days, we think it's never going to end.  Then we hear we are getting some rainy days.  Then, we wake up to snow.  Um....weather people, meterologists, whatever you want to call yourselves, I'm going to need a little more detail in my weather reports.  So until the end of April, I think it would be safe to include in all your broadcast "and as usual, we have a slight chance of snow."

13. Let's talk about ex's.....
Monday, 26 March 2007

Things you don't want to do with and ex-boyfriend...
8. Moving out while trying to stay out of the way of the hot-tub party getting started
(this one's a doozy, you might think it should be # 1, but wait till you get to #1)
7. Trying to collect owed money
6. Drinking alcohol (which I might ad is NOT a good idea, as you usually end up feeling like you need to kick someones ass after a beer or two.)
5. Riding in a car (can you say "silent treatment")
4. Camping
3. "Lunching" with their family
2. Going on Vacation (with their "mistress" turned wife)
1.  Dating their best friend.

Originally, I was going to come up with a "top 10 list" for this because, I'm sure I could come up with one, but then I started getting depressed because all of these things have happened in my life, with the same ex.   And thinking of the list has made me feel overwhelmingly nauseous. Must seek medical attention....

14. Mistress or Mister?
Thursday, 08 February 2007

So, we know that if a married man has a girlfriend, most refer to her as a Mistress.  But, what do you call the boyfriend of a married woman?  Anyone?

15. Best excuses not to save
Tuesday, 06 February 2007

I know you're supposed to save a little from every paycheck, but sometimes you just can't.  Here are the best reasons to spend and not  save.
1. You were up too late last night, so you NEED that horribly overpriced coffee, water, and danish to even tackle the day.
2. Sometimes shoes are more important than saving for emergencies.  If your car breaks down, your new tennis shoes can help you get to work right?
3. You've had a bad week, so you need to decompress with a dinner out, accompanied by some adult beverages.
4. Clothes.  As long as you can wear them to work, then you NEED to buy them.  (And just because you CAN wear them to work, doesn't mean you are required to.)
5. Music, whether it be in the form of concert tickets or cds, it's all very educational, therefore something you need to succeed in life.
and finally...
6. Vacations.  Let's face it, with out those, you might have already "offed" half of the people you work with.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
