16. Moms
Tuesday, 06 February 2007

I know I'm not a mom, and having two pets doesn't compare to having children, BUT, I must say, it's so hard sometimes!!!  Why does everything have to be a challenge you know?  Your trying to shower and get ready for work, but the dog takes an unusual route and wants to learn how the stairs work.  Not on the weekend when you're home, but on a weekday morning when you are already late because moments ago he had an "accident" that required immediate attention.  And why is it that some people can just sleep through the barking the obviously means "get up you lazy humans.  I need to eat!"  I can't sleep through that, no matter how tired I am.  So, with that being said, thank you Mom and Dad!  I know you had several trying "incidents" when I was a child, but look how good I turned out!

18. I'm not ready for kids
Friday, 26 January 2007

So...I just got a puppy about 2 weeks ago.  I've never had a puppy before.  The potty training, the chewing everything, the sleepless nights are really difficult.   Plus, we have another dog that is 7, so she is not very excited about the addition to the family.  She's more of a lazy, relaxed dog so the constant attention from the little one has really affected her attitude.  She looks at us now as if to say "Why are you doing this to me?"  When they are "playing" it is chaos, barking, screaching and I begin to know why some parents shake their babies.  (Yes, I know it's bad, but when they just don't stop.....)

19. Snowdog
Tuesday, 26 December 2006

No, she isn't a  husky, but she loves the snow!  So, once we dug her a trail, she was off  sniffing the snow for signs of bunnies.  Does anyone else notice that snow on a dogs nose seems to give them a jolt of energy, springing them to life?  I hope everyone enjoyed the snow, I know we did!

Dear Santa,
Instead of getting a Garmin that will show me how to get around just like Mapquest would if I would just prepare myself before going on an excursion to a foreign place, could I just get an upgraded CD player?  See, my CD player in my car is hanging on by a little glue to my dashboard.  I don't think it's gonna make it much longer.  Plus, in the age of iTunes, I have so much downloaded music that I burn to CD's (which is really just a waste of my time because my cd player won't play burned cds) I need an upgrade.  This is how far from today's technology my car is.  Yes, I did know this when I bought the car, and at the time I was willing to deal.  But  now I'm tired of it, and I'm ready to really jam out....so, can you hook me up Santa?
Janice
Oh yeah, and of  course I want world peace, but I'm sure you already know that. :o)

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
