Reggae is the music of the downtrodden, and American Indians have fit that description throughout United States history. So if at first blush it seems strange that a Hopi Indian is a reggae singer, put in the aforementioned context, it’s not so out of place. |

With music, like many professions, it is not uncommon for sons to follow in the father’s footsteps. For Clayton Hibbert, a.k.a. Jr. Toots, those are huge shoes to fill, regardless of his own achievements. When you consider his father invented the word “reggae,” well, it’s not so surprising. |
