The moon is on the wane in Cancer, and taking care of primary needs is the most positive way to use her diminishing energy. The moon has a practical industriousness, if only we can get over our tendency toward moodiness and inertia. Moping? Eliminate the workweek's psychic leftovers by wrapping up emotional loose ends. |

Like your favorite motivational speaker, Mercury and Jupiter in fiery Leo and Sagittarius are big talkers with big promises, their irrepressible optimism convincing you they have the tools to deliver -- and they do. A little exploration yields more possibilities for the future, far vaster than you'd imagined. So go ahead and believe the hype. |

We're obsessed with celebrity behavior, where they eat, what they wear, who they sleep with. How else could Paris Hilton have become famous for — what? — being rich? |

Venus continues her retrograde, backing out of Virgo into Leo (again), giving we earthlings, her adoring love slaves, yet another opportunity to appreciate our dear ones. Recognizing someone's special-ness with kudos is the Leo way. A round of applause satisfies even the most ornery Lion -- and makes for a more peaceable kingdom. |

Could it be that the force that makes the world go round is indeed, as the poets have suggested, love? As the closest planet to Earth, Venus assures us that love is essential to life on Earth -- but war god Mars is the second-closest planet. As Mars and Venus tangle today, before taking a stand against anything, we must first stand on love. |

As Mars enters Gemini, the erstwhile planet of ego is smart. He doesn't need a reason to be the bomb-diggity, but he'll give you one. Another masculine planet on the scene, Jupiter moves forward after four months retrograde, tempering impetuous intellects with higher thinking. Look for universal truths behind the rhetoric. |

As the Leo sun stokes the backyard barbecue, the Taurus moon trims the hedges and puts her finest cuttings on display. They've got an easy relationship. He uses these final weeks of summer to recharge and enjoy the life they've been busily building all year. She cuts her losses and contemplates what it takes to make this life more certain. |

Orators, speakers, actors, look up! Mercury, the mouth, moves into bravado-loving Leo for the next few weeks, lending conversation a celebratory sparkle and dramatic license to those inclined. We want to toot our own horn, but so does everyone else! William Shakespeare offers clarity: "Give every man thy ear, but few thy voice." |

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
