Two swing dancers cut loose Monday at Avogadro’s Number in Fort Collins. The restaurant and bar, at 605 S. Mason St., is one of many northern Colorado venues that hosts dance nights throughout the week.

HOW TO GET YOUR GUY ON THE DANCE FLOOR
Husbands and boyfriends are sometimes less than thrilled about the thought of dancing. But when it’s as popular as it is around northern Colorado, the pressure is on for all of you guys.
“I can tell you for a fact, women love men who can dance,” said Peggy Lyle, co-owner of the Rhythm Company.
That said, here’s some of Lyle’s tips on how to get your man on the dance floor:
1. Compromise.
Maybe he will be willing to go if he isn’t pressured into dancing. Some couples will go and one will dance while the other enjoys the music from the sidelines.
2. Debate.
Tell him how dancing can rekindle the fun in a relationship. It’s nice to have new experiences to keep things fresh.
3. Bribery.
If all else fails, promise him you will buy him a margarita at The Rio before the lesson. That should loosen him up a bit and get him close enough to the dance floor to where a nice push will get him out there the rest of the way.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
