There are dozens of 4-wheeling clubs in northern Colorado. The following are members of the Colorado Off Highway Vehicle Coalition or the Colorado Association of Four-Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc. These clubs are not exclusive to makes of vehicle:
Big Thompson 4-Wheelers

Meets: 7 p.m. first Wednesday of month at Ferrero’s Auto Center, 2600 N. Lincoln, Loveland
Details: A family-oriented group that welcomes all 4x4s; has monthly trips and events and an annual Lime Run/Road Rally and 4x4 pulling contest.

The Mountaineers, Larimer County 4WD Club

Club type: 4WD
Meets: 7:30 p.m. third Wednesday of month at Knights of Columbus Hall, 121 N. Meldrum, Fort Collins
Details: Organized in 1965, active with monthly trips year-round. Also involved in Adopt-a-Trail and Adopt-A-Highway programs.

Northern Colorado Trail Riders

Club type: all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, 4WD, snowmobiles
Meets: 7 p.m. second Tuesday of month at Elite Motorsports, 1400 E. Eisenhower Blvd., Loveland
Details: Most members in this group are motorcyclists. Organizes trail rides nearly every weekend during riding season and also hosts longer rides across Colorado, southern Wyoming and eastern Utah.

Trailridge Runners 4WD Club

Meets: Once a month, usually 7 p.m. the second Friday of the month in Longmont
Details: All 4x4 vehicles welcome on monthly trips. Involved with public land management agencies and participates in projects such as 4WD road maintenance, Lefthand Canyon Cleanup, campground re-constructions, picnic ground cleanups and sign posting.

|  | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
