The Virgo moon kicks off the week with crucially important busy work. The details handled in the next 48 hours will make it easier for the rest of the week's work to flow. Improving your environment is also favored. If it needs to be cleaned, cleared, buffed, polished, organized or arranged, doing so now will boost your fortunes.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Whatever you did well, you're doing even better. You don't have to push yourself to excel; it's a natural byproduct of your continuing practice. A sweet Sagittarius person has news for you.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Your property (intellectual or physical) can be sold to the highest bidder. Your secret for turning a profit? When you value what you have, others will, too. Plus, your timing couldn't be better.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Moderation has its benefits — but not for you. Hedging your bet is a sure way to lose it. And going forward halfheartedly will only make you feel small. Go all the way and with your whole heart.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You're driven by the unobtainable. As soon as you discover exactly how to obtain this particular object of desire, it'll instantly be replaced by something even more unobtainable.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You're curious about everything now. In your wondering, you may discover that wondering in itself is a wonder. Loved ones are attracted to this ever-youthful part of your personality.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Feb. 4). Being an astute observer gives you the advantage you've needed to excel in every area of your life. You strive to become someone on whom nothing is lost — and you achieve it this year. Slowing down is key this month. You drop activities that don't feed your soul and adopt new practices. Connections with Taurus and Gemini people are divine. Your lucky numbers are: 9, 3, 22, 19 and 53.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Family relationships turn you on to something lucky — perhaps a romance that makes your heart go "zing!" or a promising job lead. Also, you have a special connection with Capricorn people.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Enemies are a part of your team, just like friends are. That person who makes you notice your weaknesses is a stronger motivating force than any other you'll encounter.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Answer a spiritual calling. This can be done by simply being grateful, or you may take it so far as to become an ordained minister. The main thing is that you're taking charge of your spirituality.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You don't have to limit yourself. Take what you want. Accept abundance. As your signmate Woody Allen said, "Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons."
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Be careful what you say. Speaking badly of someone could land you in some seriously hot water. Resist the urge to join in when others verbally bash about. The walls have ears.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It has always been your mission to improve the world, but you don't need to win the Nobel Prize or attain a grandiose ideal to do this. Doing what you do best is enough. Small gestures have majestic impact.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You may find yourself detaching and pulling back from a person or a situation. Ask yourself what you're afraid of. Yes, it's risky being emotionally present, but the rewards are well worth it.
FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: What is love, anyway? Is it a force? An affliction? A lucky spell? Does love even exist? It has been said that there is no love, only proof of love — is that a pessimistic point of view, or a liberating statement?
These questions and more arise during the conjunction of Venus and Uranus, which affects the entire week, emphasizing the utter complexity of love relationships.
All it takes is a minor incident to rattle relationships and make us question their integrity. Uranus is the planet of eruption, surprise and fast change. So as he cozies up to Venus, she reacts like a diva who is being crowded.
Though it may seem as though relationships are threatened by this interruption, the transit can actually be the catalyst for drastic improvements.
See this week's events in your personal life as opportunities to understand your partner and yourself better. The Aquarian sun offers this objective insight: Love isn't an affliction or something that just happens. Rather, it's a quality of attention — a certain kind of concentration that one can flow at the subject of his or her choosing. Therefore, it's impossible to simultaneously love someone and act in an unloving way.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Laura Dern is an intellectual with a knack for picking quirky, eccentric projects to perfectly highlight her Aquarian charms — as demonstrated once again by her recent David Lynch challenge, "Inland Empire." Her thriving relationship with fellow artist and musician Ben Harper gives her the foundation to keep growing. I see one more child between she and Harper before the end of 2009.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
