Neil Simon’s dramatic comedy “Lost in Yonkers” won the Pulitzer Prize in drama and the Tony Award for best play in 1991.
The New York Post even wrote it was the best play Simon had written. High praise for one of the country’s most prolific and celebrated playwrights.
Set above a candy store in 1940s New York, “Yonkers” is a story of two young brothers who go to live with their strict German grandmother during World War II.
Blending humor and drama, the story introduces the audience to a host of eccentric relatives of the boys’, including a child-like aunt and a mobster uncle.
The Montana Repertory Theatre brings the show to Fort Collins. The touring company has been around since 1967 bringing performances to audiences throughout the West.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
