Ah, the coming of spring. I can almost smell it over the exhaust fumes of my car when I'm warming it up for work in the morning. Longer days, more 'outside' playtime, birds caw-cawing at ungodly early hours of the morning, warmer weather. Being able to see the road in front of my house. But most importantly, skirts.
The coming of spring seems to make many of the opposite sex reach far back into their closets to pull out the most amazing article of clothing ever concieved. And it seems that it is pretty universal in it's public appearence, almost as if coming out of hibernation. Sure, one or two may spring up first, but within a week's time they multiply exponentially. Just like when snow falls for the first time, commencing the unofficial arrival of winter, so does the skirt signfy the arrival of spring.
Those were generally the best days of college, at least on-campus, and school related. Instead of booking it across campus to get out of the cold, my buddies and I would lathargically stroll to class, or sprawl out on the grass in front of the various halls. Or maybe even take up a post on the steps. Eye candy galore. Ladies must get tired of wearing sweatpants and hoodies over winter jackets and tennis shoes, because as soon skirt season arrives, Halleluiah holla' back.
Stilettos, sandals, flip-flops, open-toed, straps, high heel, low heel, 2 inches or 4?, platform, and even the occasional pumps; green toes, red toes, ankle braclets, toe rings, ankle tattoos, fine legs, thins legs, muscular legs, tan legs, fair legs; denim skirts, black skirts, khaki skirts, short skirts, mini-skirts, micro-skirts, hell even skorts; all you really need to know is that skirts really can't look wrong or bad. So here's to warmer weather and the upcoming season.........and skirts too!

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36) writen by: Drew What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |
