So, I was also at New West Fest this weekend and noticed that their are a lot of parents that let their children (like 10-12 year olds) spend the day alone, unsupervised, with 100,000 strangers. Why is that? Does that seem like a good idea? First of all, when you get a group of 5 kids together, they are really annoying to the rest of the world. Besides being really annoying, don't parents worry about their kids and wonder what they are doing and if they are being kidnapped or something? And that brings me to another thing. I saw a screaming girl being dragged (sort of) down the street. So, do I stop the guy who's taking this crying screaming girl, or do I glare at him because if he isn't kidnapping her and she is actually his child, then he obviously needs to discipline her? And this is why I don't have kids...... | |
Hangs Head In Shame Written by punkhorror on 2006-08-23 10:51:34 And to think I let my kids watch two hours of toons yesterday while I watched Eureka and ECW...I suck. As for kids alone...hell no... | Go Tell it on the mountain Written by FullMetal Alchemist on 2006-08-22 15:10:59 Truer words were never spoken! The same thing can be said about plopping the kids in front of the TV; Cop-outs to being REAL parents. |

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
