NEW YORK — Celebutante turned singer Paris Hilton in a magazine interview said her new album makes her cry.
“I, like, cry, when I listen to it, it’s so good,” she said in an interview in the September issue of Blender that will be on newsstands Tuesday.
Her self-titled debut album “Paris” follows her breathy, reggae-infused single, “Stars Are Blind” that has climbed to the top of Billboard’s dance music chart. ——— GROWING CONFIDENCE Hilton said she wasn’t so confident last spring about asking DJs to play songs from the album. She’s apparently got her confidence now though.
“People go crazy,” Hilton, 25, said. “They love it. Everyone’s like, ‘Who is this?’ I don’t tell. Because I don’t want someone putting their phone up and recording it and making a ring tone off of it.
“I think when people don’t know it’s me, they won’t judge it. But if they know it’s me, then they’ll be like, ‘Ugh.’ They won’t even dance.”
BABY VOICE AN ACT Hilton posed for Blender’s cover and inside pages wearing lingerie. She sported a pink bra, black fishnet stockings and gold platform heels for one photo.
Also, that baby voice she uses on the reality TV show “The Simple Life” is an act. “I’m always playing a character,” she tells the magazine. “I don’t talk like this really -- like a baby. I don’t act like myself in public, because I don’t really want to show everyone the real me. Because I have no privacy whatsoever, the only thing I have is who I really am.” | Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. |

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
