GodTube.com set to launch |

YouTube.com may be good entertainment, but there's a new site that takes it to the next level: God entertainment. GodTube.com is a new Web site that is quickly catching on since Newsweek featured it in a recent edition. The site was created by Chris Wyatt, a 38-year-old Dallas Theological Seminary student.
GodTube.com currently gets 50,000 to 60,000 unique visitors a day, and it hasn't even officially launched yet. The site features Christian-themed videos that range from music to preaching to a man explaining atheism using a banana as a visual metaphor.
One of the site's most popular music videos is called "Baby Got Bible," which is a parody of Sir Mix-A-Lot's hit song "Baby Got Back." The focus has shifted from bulky backsides to big strappin' Bibles. It sounds corny because it is, but it's also funny.
There is also a series of clips that spoof the current PC vs. Macintosh computer commercials. On GodTube it becomes "Christian vs. Christ follower." The Christian is caught up in the vestiges of being religious while the Christ-follower tries to keep his faith genuine. It's clever without being preachy. | Only registered users can write comments.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
