The show is called "America's Got Talent," but two-thirds of the judging panel for the NBC series' coming season will hail from outside the United States' borders.
NBC has confirmed that Sharon Osbourne will take over for singer-actress Brandy as a judge for the show's second season, which opens May 29. She'll join new host Jerry Springer and returning judges David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan, who like Osbourne is a native of England.
"Sharon Osbourne is show business personified, and she has seen and done it all," says Craig Plestis, NBC's head of alternative programming. "She will make an excellent fit with David and Piers, who we're delighted to have back for another great season."
Executive producer Simon Cowell also is glad to have Ozzy's wife aboard: "On this show," he says, "it just had to be Sharon Osbourne."
Osbourne has worked with Cowell before, serving with him as a judge on the British talent search "The X Factor" (which Cowell's company also produced). Since becoming a household name thanks to MTV's "The Osbournes," she has also hosted talk shows both here and in the U.K., guest-starred on "Will & Grace" and "Days of Our Lives" and written an autobiography.
She's also worked behind the scenes in the music industry, managing her husband's career and those of several other bands and helping launch the Ozzfest tour. | Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. |

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
