The earthy energies of Mercury and the sun in Taurus, along with the Virgo moon attempt to keep us focused on efficiency and making things work. We see what's right under our noses, a plant that needs water or bills that need to be paid, but when the phone rings, we go running toward unplanned distractions. They're enjoyable ones.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Put on your wheeling-and-dealing duds, you're making influential contacts that up your earning power. If you're not convincing someone to buy what you're selling, you should be. Hit up a generous Gemini person. TAURUS (April 20-May 20). It's your time to claim your piece of the pie. If you're a stockbroker, get up extra early — it's going to be a great day. If you're not, invest your critical thinking skills in financial directions.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're playing for keeps. It's a big deal to make a commitment to a partner, in business or in love. But you have a feeling this one's a keeper, so it's easy. You'll look back on this day years from now, smiling.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). There's an invisible giving circle in the universe. It's a loop of giving and receiving that hinges on your availability to do both at once. As soon as one gift leaves your arms, another enters. How sweet it is.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). A professional negotiation that doesn't pinch and poke you with terms and conditions usually isn't called a negotiation. But this moves so beautifully in your direction, you're relatively un-pinched.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (April 27). All eyes are on you this year. Your ability to eloquently express yourself is striking. May gives you the Midas touch — you turn real estate to gold. You're on a roll at June's end. You make creative obligations in September, and a flow of money helps these endeavors. Gemini people and another Taurus person are captivated by you. Your lucky numbers are: 18, 39, 5, 15 and 7.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Admirers spread the word about what they see in you. When it's a boss who is praising you, the compliment is not empty-handed. Money and trips are a real possibility.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Work and travel plans compete for your attention. You find a way to handle some business during your leisure travels, or enjoy some leisure time during work travels.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). When you seek counsel from a partner, this person turns out to be a delightful melange of wisdom and whimsy. Perhaps your options are broader and more playfully intriguing than you previously thought.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Because you're the first to spy a problem, you're also looked to as the problem solver of the group. Embrace your handyperson identity. Your skills attract a special someone.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). There's spiritual symmetry in offering your expertise to someone younger or less experienced. When you have a body of knowledge worth sharing, pass it on and it multiplies.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). A lighthearted affair on the monkey bars gets more serious at the teeter-totter. Enough of all the hanging around — your life is hanging in the balance. Do you trust this person to pull his or her own weight?
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). When you open your mouth in stream of consciousness style, your true feelings (or thoughts) are revealed. Some of these feelings are too fleeting to worry about. But the important thing is someone's listening.
WEEKEND LOVE FORECAST: ARIES: Love and travel are the theme. Wherever you go, go together. TAURUS: The best things in life are, it turns out, not so free after all. Invest your dinero in something that makes you both extravagantly happy. GEMINI: You're the most coveted star on the block. You simply must accept all VIP invitations. CANCER: Share soulful quiet time around the house with breaks for movie watching or stargazing. LEO: Attend a group event that showcases your individual flair — your enthusiasm and presence step the event up a notch. VIRGO: A partnership is dynamic and stimulating. Once you lock lips, the chemistry really explodes. LIBRA: If you're not wandering the corners of the world together, you're up all night talking about it. SCORPIO: Singles, if it's just an affair, keep your intentions clear. Couples, spring for an over-the-top gift for your gorgeous mate. SAGITTARIUS: Your interest in someone is growing in proportion to the attention you're giving him or her. CAPRICORN: Make spring-cleaning motivating by rewarding everyone with fun afterward. A sibling surprises you. AQUARIUS: You're energized and outspoken on matters of the heart. PISCES: You're a dynamic force. Use this force to bring people together, and love is there.
COUPLE OF THE WEEKEND: Gemini and Sagittarius are globetrotters of the world and the heart. In a relationship, both need a long leash and a big back yard, but with each other they have that guarantee. Unbound, their biggest challenge is staying focused — their tendency is to head in a million different directions (often separately). These two keep an emotional connection by nurturing common interests.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
