May Day celebrates spring's halfway mark and the renewing power of the season in all her colorful glory. It might've been named after the Roman goddess of springtime, Maia, but look around you — there are many beautiful goddesses to worship on this fine day! Bring your wife, sister or mother a bouquet of new bloom flowers.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're in provider mode, like a mama bear securing food and shelter for her bear cubs. All you care about is that everyone's needs, including your own, are met. Underneath your protective ferocity is sweet tenderness.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You won't pussyfoot around what some consider a delicate subject: money. Wealth is your birthright. When someone tells you "there's no money," it's an unacceptable answer. You can smell the green.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). There's nothing you like less than being out of the information loop. And yet, you're not being given the whole story. Get suspicious enough to look for clues, but don't create a conspiracy theory yet.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You attract the people you need to help your dreams. But life doesn't happen by sitting at home. Use your receptive powers to magnetize that one conversation that's essential to your success.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). People are talking because they know you've got something the world needs. Give them something to talk about by consciously choosing, even writing down the message you want them to hear. Then spread it.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (May 1). Your goals take you on a journey this year, and you'll not only glimpse new worlds, but you'll participate in them or even rule them! This month brings a windfall. July introduces sweet but unsentimental romance. It's the practical and useful things loved ones do for you that make you feel most loved. Virgo and Aquarius people spark your imagination. Lucky numbers are: 40, 42, 18, 46 and 27.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Your ruling planet Mercury animates your life with clever new twists. What you previously couldn't envision becomes a real-life possibility. Boy, do you see it now! A Taurus person leads the way.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). In your relationships you sometimes divvy up whose investment is bigger and meter out your generosity accordingly. Love doesn't keep score. And that's the secret to any successful long-term relationship.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You can find the fun in playing both the leader and the follower, and will do so in many different scenarios now. Your flexibility makes you the ideal team player, and your team will win.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Your job doesn't have to interfere with romance, unless you're dating someone at work. You're great at multitasking, so set a place and time for all your affairs to keep your head and heart clear.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You strive to be the best in everything, but to fully appreciate this noble task you've got to occasionally let your hair down. A round of karaoke makes you look foolish enough to start taking yourself seriously again.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Sometimes life is about getting control of your ego by denying it what it wants. But not now. Indulge! As poet Mary Oliver says, "You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves."

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Knowledge is no substitute for experience. Likewise, thinking isn't the same thing as loving. Instead of keeping someone in your thoughts, bring this person to your heart, and then act on the resulting impulse.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I'm a Leo, born Aug. 4, 1963. For many years I've faced a bevy of fears originating from an unknown source. I have no physical memories before age 4 and don't know of any really traumatic incidents that have happened since. Recently, I traveled the road of my emotional memories and made a very disturbing discovery that I have no physical memory of. Only one person in my family knows the situation, and I have planned a vacation in April to address it, but many others must be faced. What should I do?"

Leo, your sign can be very dramatic — you've always been told this by your family. Sometimes a memory you have will feel more like a story you're making up in the moment. It very well may be, but as you were so wise to point out, "emotional" memories aren't the same thing as "physical" memories — yet they can have the same impact on your life. Try not to focus on who did what to whom. Blame can only victimize you. Instead, honor your feelings as true, and work through them with a professional therapist or guide. You've embarked on a brave journey, and you're going to come through it a stronger and more focused and whole person.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Gun-toting babe Uma Thurman may look more like an ethereal flower than an action hero, but she's believable as both. You can't separate one from the other. Thurman's Venus joins sexy Mars in Gemini, fusing physical brawn with intelligent beauty. But beauty doesn't guarantee self-esteem. Thurman's dealt with body image and self-esteem issues, a healing touchstone for some Taurus sun signs.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
