Christian Rock band plays Friday in Greeley |

A Christian rock band formed by local musicians will have a concert for youth Friday in Greeley.
Dead Like Lazarus is five musicians from Greeley and Windsor who hope their music gets more youth involved in bible study. The band will cover songs from artists including The Fray, Relient K, Superchick, Barlow Girls, Mat Kearney and Seven Places.
The band's rhythm guitarist Tom Schoenherr is also the youth minister for Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in WIndsor. He said a few of the band members have played together over the past year for praise and worship. Only about a six weeks ago, the group decided to organize a concert to bring their message to a larger audience.
The other band members are: Kirt Woodman, lead guitar; Jesse Mitchell, bass; Paul Hitzges, drums; and Amy Hitzges and Lindsey Gardner, vocals.
Schoenherr has advertised the event through local youth pastors and high schools. From the response he's received, Schoenherr expects about 300 youth to attend. Local bible study and youth groups will also have information booths at the event.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
