You've heard it takes 21 days to change a habit, but do you know why? It's tied to the 28-day lunar cycle. Today's Virgo first-quarter moon implores us to "change, organize, eliminate!" Actions undertaken at first quarter have roots — we've got the wherewithal to just do it. In 21 days' time (new moon), you'll have kicked that habit!

ARIES (March 21-April 19). If you have a problem with chronically undervaluing your worth, from taking low-paying jobs to staying in a bummer relationship, own up. Also, overestimating someone else's worth can as easily skewer your judgment.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Name your figure, and write yourself a check. Date it. Make both numbers reasonable without making them too easy to reach. You're setting a precedent for your future. You'll take bold steps toward it in the coming weeks.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Exercise social self-control. If you're trying to impress someone, don't. Let them come to you. Even if you don't think you deserve their praise, accept it as factual and actual.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). When you value what you have, others will, too. Your property (intellectual or physical) could net you a hefty profit. Be willing to sell to the highest bidder. Your timing couldn't be better.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Afraid of creating a spectacle, you're tempted to remain quiet. But going forward halfway or halfheartedly is worse. Go all the way and with your whole heart, regardless of how silly you feel. The result is fabulous!

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (May 23). Your talents are unparalleled. You can actually wish your way to the next chapter of your story. Capture the beauty you see, and inspire others in the process. What you're doing now bears fruit in October. You make a promise and keep it in eight weeks. A travel opportunity pops up in July. Sagittarius people love you; a Virgo person enchants you. Your lucky numbers are: 15, 29, 6, 44 and 2.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). First impressions are big — you get the opportunity to show your stuff. It may be risky. It may be spectacular. Let it happen naturally. As long as you make no excuses, you'll be well received.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Your enemies are a part of your team, just like friends are. That person who makes you notice your weaknesses is a stronger motivating force than any other you'll encounter today.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). It's the perfect time to organize finances. Take out your credit cards, and figure out which interest rate is clobbering your hard-earned resources. It's fun to spend money. It's more fun when you spend within your means.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Riding someone else's coattails will not only take you higher than you would've gone alone, it's also professionally PC in the business world. Collaboration is a necessary conspiracy for your success.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Personal development is one of your hobbies. Self-improvement puts you on the fast track to living larger. Just picking up a book or listening to a self-help CD polishes your awareness.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Your ethereal mindset isn't readily understood by more logical sorts. No matter how genius your insights are, they may sound like, "My karma ran over your dogma." Hang in there.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Share mystical leanings on your personal history with someone who appreciates the view from the fishbowl. They give you invaluable feedback on your subjective reality.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: Travel & Astrology — Whether you're a high-energy Aries or a low-key Pisces, you can customize your pleasure needs by matching the astrology of your vacation spot to your sun sign. Vacationing by the stars makes your vacation uniquely you!

LEO: Energetic Leos want a change of pace more than a break. Color and drama heighten the travel experience, making Leo grin ear to ear. The brilliant Leo city of Rome, Italy, is the right choice for luxury-loving Lions. Lounge poolside. Eat real gelato and pizza to your contented bliss. Revel in the art, glorious art. When in Rome, you'll do as the Romans do and feel as content as a cat. Local Leo city: Miami.

VIRGO: Virgo's perfect vacation is part elegance and part time spent in the great outdoors. A four-star hotel (with good service) makes all the difference for Virgo, so choose quality above all else. Crete, Greece, is a Virgo's dream destination. Greek food is to Virgo's liking — simple and pure. The white Mediterranean sand stretches for miles and miles, with alcoves of meditative caves and caverns. Local Virgo city: Los Angeles. Libra and Scorpio next!

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Jewel is a marketable pop princess, but she's truer to her folksy roots when she sits down for a good guitar-pick on what makes her world tick. With Mercury, the moon and Saturn joined, Jewel is prone to self-doubt and episodes of deep introspection. Self-observation isn't for the faint of heart. But it's a necessary and natural part of her creative process.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
