"Standing alone," Frank Sinatra sang to the power of the rare, magical and romantic blue moon. Today's full moon in Sagittarius is a blue moon, which means it's the second full moon in the calendar month. Look for small and large shifts in your outlook today. Hold a dream in your heart. Dance by the light of the blue moon.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You can see the long and short of an opportunity today, and it spells FANTASTIC! Or fanatic -- it could go either way, or both. Your devotion to this mind-expanding venture is both fanatical and fantastical.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Togetherness. It's a human need, like food and shelter. Let someone into your world by sharing a secret or joining forces. What you have to gain is a sense of your personal contribution to the world.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You see your partner in a clear, refreshing way, and with it come all the prizes and pitfalls of full-on recognition. Like waking up in the morning with the mirror held to your face, the reflection is sweetly human and alarmingly real.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You won't get an award for the kind of work you're doing. Oh, the frustration, the hours spent! If you can locate the internal rewards it brings you -- like meaning and purpose -- you're fortified. Onward!
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). If life's a gamble, this is the part where you carefully measure the risks against the odds. Big dreams have big payoffs. And sacrifices. You choose how to frame it. Others will see it the same way you do.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (May 31). Progress seems effortless this year, but it's really the result of years of hard work. You've got the goods, and the world knows it. Leverage your winning charisma into a big sale in June. Loved ones acquiesce to your slightest needs in August. Your rock-star bravado opens doors in October. Cancer and Pisces people enrich you in unexpected ways. Your lucky numbers are: 7, 50, 31, 44 and 16.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Make no mistake, the flame you keep lit inside fuels everything in your world. Your traditions, rituals and connection to family forge the continuum from inner to outer life. And the solace this brings is a little slice of heaven.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The best way to learn something is to teach it. Even better is to personalize it, make it yours. Information exchanges today spark the kind of creative kindling that could start a fire in your life.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You're moved to slow down -- really slow down -- with your spending habits. Of course, it takes a good reason to stop the madness. Your partner's opinion is a good one.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Everyone has a set of rules to live by. If not, start yours immediately. Try this on: "I live with careful conscientiousness and total abandon." Or: "I may be careless, but not with my heart."
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Leave the door open for angels and fairies to inspire your usual crafty competence with whimsical divinity. You learn more in those moments of receptivity than you could ever design or plan.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Maybe it's a blessing to get all mixed up in a movement bigger than your own life. Maybe it's a curse. Who knows? You feel completely absorbed, and for now that's fine.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). What you give to the world, you give on a grand scale. You wouldn't have it any other way. The responsibility is huge and the recognition equally grand. Step up to the challenge to live your life's work. But bigger.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I was born at 11:20 a.m. on Aug. 26, 1977, in Portage, Wis. Although I'm a newlywed (to a Scorpio) and have a part-time position in the career I love, I'm still worried about having a boring life. Will I be able to travel abroad without spending irresponsibly? Do you think it's possible for me to find a balance between occasional excitement and the daily routine?" You're not a boring lady, as I'm sure your husband will attest! Your signature planet, Uranus, says unexpected thrills and excitement are an absolute necessity for you. Follow your whim -- and those whims will run hot and cold, making you unpredictable (and exciting) as ever. Consider it an asset. It adds to your natural mystique and intrigue. Keep cultivating your eccentricities, especially when you feel stuck. On travel: Yes, your travel passport is inextricably linked to what you see as an AMEX card with no limit. And the temptations are mouthwatering impulse buys. Yet comfort and luxury can make or break your travel experience. The good news is, your Virgo sun knows the difference between practical and excessive purchases, so a practical rule of thumb might be to wait 24 hours before buying.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Brooke Shields is a fabulous spokesperson for any cause that personally affects her. Her book on postpartum depression allowed many women to openly admit their ambivalence as new moms. With her moon and Venus linked in Gemini, Brooke loves writing, learning and sitting down for a good chat. She'd make a fabulous love columnist! This is a year of high visibility for Shields, all of it good.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
