The Cancer sun and Aquarius moon perceptively point out that intelligence isn't tied to your ability to be successful in life. Nope, to get where you're headed, you need emotional IQ. On the beach of life, listen to your belly, hold up that funky, shimmering shell to your ear and discover a new world. Find innovative patterns in the sand.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You'll brush yourself off and try again several times today -- proof that you're living to the limit, the way you always aspire to. Failure isn't falling down; it's staying down.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). What others need and what you need aren't matching up as neatly as you'd hoped. The answer is to stay back and observe. And in all dealings, be a little kinder than necessary.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The problem isn't working hard -- you're up for any challenge that involves effort and sweat. The problem is working hard at the things you told yourself you'd work on.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You make stellar decisions in the next 24 hours. If you're not sure what to do, here's a hint: You help many other people by helping yourself. You'll be thanked or congratulated tonight.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Stop looking -- that special person is destined to find you. Put yourself in the way of good fortune by going to conventions, parties, fairs -- wherever the crowd is.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 2). Your willingness to connect with people who have experience and origins deliciously different from your own makes this year a gift you can open over and over and over. You're so productive this month that you'll inspire envy along with your salary boost. A windfall in October is well deserved. Your worldliness is appreciated by Sagittarius and Virgo people. Your lucky numbers are: 9, 3, 20, 5 and 35.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Your mind is abuzz with wishful thinking. Be sure you're putting yourself in the present moment with your wish, enjoying it fully right now. Putting it too far away ensures that it stays out of reach.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Your expertise is needed. Offer an opinion. You could rock someone's world with your tutelage. And by teaching others, you train yourself to be a true master.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Think you're alone? You're never alone. In fact, you're being evaluated. Attitude is everything. With a slight adjustment, your attitude is perfectly suited for the job you need to do.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). A small decision ripples out to great effect. Lifestyle changes allow you to renew a friendship and inject a love relationship with more excitement. Don't force the bonding process; it happens automatically.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You get a boost of publicity through word of mouth from your encouraging friends. If you don't have encouraging friends, now is the time to make some. Start with a Leo person.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Many of the activities you face are mandatory. If you can't get out of a situation that has "deadly boring" written all over it, at least do something mischievous to perk everyone up.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). It's unwise to rush forward to battle without a strategy. Talk to your Capricorn friend. An ingenious plan evolves. Also, when you respect the protocol of organizations, it respects you right back.
ASTROLOGY AND FOOD: The sun is in caring Cancer, and it's the right time to look at the way you nourish yourself. The palate is picky for a reason -- each sun sign needs to eat differently. Our life energy (the sun) thrives when we feed it the right activities and food! Aries: Your Aries sun appreciates spicy peppers of all kind: cayenne, jalapeno and chili. A diet that generates lots of heat on the tongue translates into fire in the belly, inspiring Aries to conquer the world with gusto! It's no coincidence that the root "gust" in "gusto" "gastric" and "gustatory" equates high energy and enthusiasm with food. An Aries without hot food is a sluggish Ram. Taurus: Taurus has the greenest thumb of all -- a vegetable garden is a must, and they never forget to water! As the eco-friend of the zodiac, the Bull is an earth lover and preservationist, which means food that's gentle on the planet. Pesticide- and chemical-free fruits and veggies create a peaceable Bull. The Bull also loves comfort food, but learns to go light on the potato chips, mac 'n' cheese and other high-calorie serotonin-raising foods she loves. Come back for Gemini and Cancer. CELEBRITY PROFILES: When Missy Elliot broke the mold in an industry that stereotyped female singers, she wasn't kidding. This unique lady was destined to reinvent the female image for all the ladies of R&B. A creative Saturn-Neptune opposition joined by feminine asteroids Vesta and Juno gives Elliot's artistic mission integrity and focus. Not only a singer, performer and lyricist, she is also a creative visionary.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
