Is penguin love like people love? The male penguin lays his head tenderly across the female's belly to communicate his ardor. As Venus and Pluto instruct we humans on our own amorous intentions, the different ways complicated creatures, such as penguins, men and women, show affection fascinate us.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Prove your belief in yourself by following through with vigorous, enthusiastic action. Even monumental ideas can only get off the ground if you get behind them and start lifting.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Since you don't feel much like budging on your beliefs or your actions now, you appreciate people who meet you where you are, either metaphorically or actually.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Your wacky planets are up to mischief again, giggling as you walk along your path. Expect to make profound mistakes -- the kind worth keeping. The kind that could be called "art."
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You'll be getting something very valuable for free. Of course, ultimately, it's only as valuable as you make it -- but you should know that others would pay a hefty price for it if given the chance.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). A weight is lifted from your chest as Saturn gives you a break from something that's been troubling you. Suddenly, financial stress and familial pressure ease up considerably.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 8). To be a success this year, you need only be a success. Confusing? Since nothing succeeds like success, your winning attitude alone is enough to bring your desires to fruition. For the next 10 weeks, you're in the magic zone. Things come easily to you. Put your heart on the line in September. Leo and Sagittarius people really get you. Your lucky numbers are: 50, 3, 22, 10 and 19.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Discipline isn't likely to be attained by forcing yourself to do things you don't want to do. Today, you're better off making your reward for action so sweet that your desire for it will overcome the strongest internal resistance.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You're really enjoying yourself. Drop any thought that doesn't support that easygoing attitude. As for people who don't seem to be able to enjoy you, drop them, too.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You hold an open thought for unlikely occurrences, thus making them hundreds of times more likely. You have special luck with games and contests that pit your entry against the entry of thousands of strangers.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Always the optimist, you look to a day that's much like the present, except you have more of what you want and less of what you don't. By eliminating three of your "don't wants," you're closer to heaven.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). There are a few jolts on the cosmic roller coaster that set up a thrilling ride down the slope. Back on the ground tonight, you may decide to buy another ticket and go again.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You're thinking about someone who maybe doesn't know you're thinking about them. Yet, this person feels the energy of "something's up." And this energy influences your future interaction.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You seldom sit back and wonder, "Where did it all go right?" but do it now. A repeat performance of your best moves is how you'll make tomorrow a happy day.
FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: Mercury in Cancer moves direct this week, straightening out the day-to-day domestic flow and un-kinking a few lines of communication along the way. By Saturday's Cancer new moon we're ready to make a new start. But not so fast -- there's work to do before a clean slate is possible. The theme will be: how to make peace with the past. Consider releasing tough memories, self-defeating thought patterns or unloving feelings. Once you get rid of the old, in will rush heartwarming, feel-good thoughts. Under the prevailing cosmic influence of Cancer, the sign of home and also of mothers, family issues come to the front of our minds and hearts. Just as we are the dreams of our parents, we also carry their deficiencies, strengths, hopes and failures. As daunting as this DNA inheritance is, we're also unique individuals with our own destinies to fulfill. To become the hero of your own life, take responsibility for what you can change today and honor the legacy of yesterday. Every generation dreams of a better, happier, easier life for the future. You are this hope. Turn the skeleton key to the door of your future, and slide right in!
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Author, lecturer, speaker and spiritual activist, Marianne Williamson's books are the gems we reach for on the bedside table at the end of a long, hard day. Her life's work, "A Course in Miracles," inspires us to move through loss, change and fear, to keep on keeping on by choosing love. Wily Uranus and Venus in Cancer spar her rebellious rants on owning your individual worth.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
