Life is as mystifying as a Dr. Seuss story with retrograde Mercury in Cancer. Does it seem like you're living a page out of "Green Eggs and Ham"? You'll be relieved to know the nonsense ends now, as Mercury goes direct. Communication improves, and you're ready to try things that didn't appeal to you before. Maybe you'll like 'em, "Sam I Am"!
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You have a well-honed sense of what will sell and who will buy, plus a gift of gab few can resist. Financial success will not corrupt your ethics. So go on, make some money.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Desire can have you doing impulsive and not-so-smart things. Get a hold of your inner power. Stand still. Don't chase and don't aim. Become one with the target.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Eager to be effective, you see many situations you could change and improve. One way to fight for your principles is to live up to them. That is the best way now.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You're warming up to a person. This takes time for you and is significant when it happens. As this relationship becomes looser and more casual, it also becomes infinitely more enjoyable.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You're a master of reversals. Someone may believe they are seducing you, when in fact it's you who is seducing this person. The attention you pay them is intoxicating.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 9). With tenacity you'll conquer your main obstacles. But part of being determined is knowing when to back off and nurture yourself. Leisure is imperative to your productivity. Get as much time off as you can, and spoil yourself over the next seven weeks. There's a creative spark between you and Taurus people. Love with a Scorpio person is divine. Your lucky numbers are: 6, 1, 20, 53 and 49.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You overcome obstacles with generosity of spirit. Maybe loving your neighbor as you love yourself is more than a religious concept. Maybe it's the next evolution of humankind.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Pressure is building -- creating the kind of steam you'll need to let off later. Tonight, play with some of your toys. It's gloriously relaxing to let yourself get caught up in a gleeful, creative dither.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). What you say catches on. The plus side is that you feel your influence. The downside is that rumors may start quickly. So consider how you might feel later, when it's too late to take back what you said.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There are so many positive things to see in your work now: beautiful scenery, colleagues who genuinely want to do the right thing and people who are helped by the fruits of your labor.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Whether it's at a lectern, over the phone or in a pithy e-mail, you have the full attention of your subjects. And you have the talent to give a dynamic, high-energy performance.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Time management and money management are one and the same now. Think of your hours as valuable and billable, and see how that changes what you do with them.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You need plenty of room to explore now. Those who love you are learning when to hold tight and when to let go. You come back to your favorite people richer for having fully experienced your freedom.
ASTROLOGY AND FOOD: Sometimes it's hard to know what your body wants to eat. Intuitively connecting the nature of your sun or moon sign to your food choices is one way to find a diet that's right for you. Do you feel better eating by your sign? Experiment! Aquarius: Here's the Water-Bearer dichotomy: Half of you prefer your traditional regional fare. The rest of you experiment endlessly with obscure diets -- an Aquarius-appropriate response to eating. Paleolithic, Atkins or raw vegan -- you're on it for a reason. You connect the ideology of a diet (for example, non-cruelty to animals) to your worldview. Make room for radical change in your life and your palate. You'll switch your diet several times during your lifetime. Pisces: Fishes can develop food sensitivities and allergies. Like Virgo, refined and processed foods and sugars prove troublesome for the Fishes' delicate constitution. Follow the K.I.S.S. rule: Keep it simple, sweetheart. Try combining foods to avoid overtaxing your system. Sushi is yummy, so are naturally rich and tasty Pisces foods like almonds, honey and cinnamon. If you drink, drink in moderation. One glass of red wine at dinner is healthy. Bon apetit!
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Edgy rocker Courtney Love isn't your typical mellow Cancer, but she's got more mom in her than she lets on. Granted, it's a blast hanging out with Courtney's Venus and Mars in Gemini -- a flirtatious, fun and sometimes reckless pair. But becoming den mother to her rock 'n' roll family and being a stand-out mom to her daughter would fill the hole in her heart she sings about, and so deeply feels.

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
