It's Friday the 13th, and there's no reason to be superstitious. In Tarot, card 13 is Death, which, far from being scary, is absolutely positive news for those of us who want to turn over a new leaf in life and love. This day before the new moon is a powerful period for contemplating change and garnering healing vibes.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're building better relationships at work. You won't be pulled to the next step on your career ladder, but rather, those beside and below you will lift you into position.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Take preventive measures. A little attention now will save having to interrupt your life later. Besides, repairs and organization efforts were never so fun. You make friends in the process.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Instead of rooting for one side to win, remain an impartial observer of both sides. When no longer invested in how things turn out, you're able to see how you can take full advantage of the situation.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You do your best to avoid conformity. But sometimes conforming is the best choice. What others are doing may appeal to you. If so, you would be wise to follow.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Everything is rushing by -- there's no time to waste over-thinking or doubting. Move in the direction your intuition tells you to go. At the end of the day you discover you've accomplished quite a lot.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 13). You're like an amplifier this year. Everything you touch seems to become more than it is. Those close to you feel enlivened. Projects are invigorated. The money you spend buys more. By the end of September, one of your major aims has been attained. New family arrivals come in April. Pisces and Libra people are lucky partners. Your lucky numbers are: 27, 1, 39, 44 and 14.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). When loved ones lose faith, you're the one who sees their hidden talents and reminds them what they can do. You'll be called on to generously apply your encouragement.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You still don't have the answer to your problem, but you're closer. Closer counts. Keep making those phone calls and asking for what you need. You'll get there.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You resonate with things and people you love. The more you let yourself love, the better you feel. The better you feel, the healthier you become. Love is a healer, and so are you.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Though patience isn't among your favorite virtues, compassion is high on the list, and it brings about the same reward. You forget your own timetable long enough to lend a helping hand.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You're so popular, you don't feel you have to impress anyone. Let others do most of the talking. You'll enjoy the chance to celebrate their accomplishments and revel in their juicy news.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). In need of new scenery, you'll find life's detours have a divine affect on your perspective. Say "yes" to unexpected invitations, find the back way home, and when all else fails, sneak away to the movies.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). There's a bit of sleuthing to do. You can put together the pieces to find a remarkable, positively life-changing answer. The key is to be honest, even if you're not sure you like what you're discovering.
WEEKEND LOVE FORECAST: ARIES: Love is in the tiniest details. A small gesture performed with loving intent polishes past neglects clean. TAURUS: Every answer to every question ever asked is written on the surface of your heart. Play like a kid again to crack it open so the wisdom can sink in. GEMINI: Beauty is extraordinarily practical. Upgrade your love nest with a beautiful, useful something. CANCER: You're renewed, revived and a breath of fresh air to everyone surrounding you. LEO: Generosity is potent soul medicine when given with an attitude of bottomless abundance. VIRGO: You disarm someone with your soft magnetism. Contemplate a fantastic future with the one you love. LIBRA: Love isn't one single gesture, but the choice to love well, moment by moment. SCORPIO: If you want to know who you are, look to the people who admire you most -- your friends. SAGITTARIUS: Your partner sees your competence as you skillfully unravel yet another one of love's mysteries. CAPRICORN: Preach love. Then practice it. Your commitment shows them how much you care. AQUARIUS: You need someone because you love them, not because you need them. PISCES: Someone special makes your world spin on a crazy axis of love.
COUPLE OF THE WEEKEND: Aries and Gemini: a sporty couple in the fast lane to love. With this playful, argumentative duo, their lifelong relationship challenge is to reach match point and call it a game without a clear victor. But Aries' overriding need to win usually prevails. Intelligent Gemini views all the verbal banter as rollicking good fun, and gives the game to Aries. In love and life, an attitude of good sportsmanship rules.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
