Tell me what you want, what you really, really want. If it's a Spice Girls reunion, then you're in luck.
The '90s girl group announced Thursday that they plan to get back together for a world tour, greatest hits album and various play dates for their kids, report news sources.
For those who blissfully lived in ignorance for the second half of the '90s, the Spice Girls was a pop group carefully created and calculated to appeal to a wide range of girls through each of the members' alter egos: Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham), Scary Spice (Melanie Brown), Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell), Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) and Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisolm).
Thursday in London was the first time the quintet has been together since 1998, when Halliwell left the group. The members of the group still looked fit, albeit a tad more mature, but disappointingly did not dress up as their showbiz personas.
The group became an instant hit with their single "Wannabe" in 1996, released their big-screen adventures in 1997's "Spice World," saw Halliwell leave the group a year later and finally broke up in 2001.
In the meantime, each of them has been busy with various endeavors, including attempts at solo careers and having babies. Beckham is married to soccer star David Beckham, with whom she has three boys: Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. She's also starring in a VH1 one-time special, "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America." Halliwell perhaps has enjoyed the most success worldwide as a solo Spice, but that's not saying much. She's also the mother of a little girl, Bluebell Madonna, has gotten active politically and has appeared as a guest star on various TV shows.
Brown recently gave birth to Angel Iris, a daughter with actor Eddie Murphy, who is currently dating someone else. She's also had success with various acting gigs, including a stint with the musical "Rent." Bunton has also been active on screen, placing third in the UK's "Strictly Come Dancing" ballroom dance reality show, appearing as herself on episodes of "Absolutely Fabulous," landing the lead in the upcoming "Pink Panther 2" and hamming it up for Prego pasta sauce commercials in the U.S. She's expecting her own baby Spice this summer.
Chisolm, the member who's been played up as the last member to want a reunion, is the only one without a second generation of Spice in the works. Mel C has released four solo albums and has had numerous hits that she's co-written.
The proposed 11-city tour will begin in Los Angeles on Dec. 7 and hit Las Vegas; New York; London; Cologne, Germany; Madrid, Spain; Beijing; Hong Kong; Sydney, Australia; and Cape Town, South Africa, before concluding in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Jan. 24. | Only registered users can write comments. | | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
