TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (April 9). You make leaps forward in your spiritual development this year, which changes who you are in the world. You know your worth and value yourself better than you ever have before. An act you are not obligated to do brings great luck to your finances in May. Invest in August. With Sagittarius and Pisces people, you feel vibrant and accepted. Your lucky numbers are: 53, 2, 9, 32 and 11.
The opposition of warrior Mars and powerful Pluto poses an interesting question. Are you currently being pushed or pulled by your life? Often, we are being pushed -- by deadlines, responsibilities and consequences of our promises and actions. It's a happier ride when we're pulled -- by a dream, purpose or passion. What's your dream? ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're adding friends to your database, figuratively and literally. The more connections you have, the easier it is to get to your goal. Someone you don't even know very well will help you enormously. TAURUS (April 20-May 20). A relationship is developing rather slowly. It's nothing to be frustrated about. Instead, celebrate. When love grows too quickly, it may not take root as strong as it should. You're building something solid. GEMINI (May 21-June 21). It's always nice when things balance out, but they seldom do -- at least not in any way we can understand with our logical minds. Your day is made easier when you accept imbalance as a natural part of life. CANCER (June 22-July 22). When you ask to be made strong, you're humbled in some way. The essence of strength is humility. You're learning that you cannot be mighty alone. You need others, and ultimately, your need makes you strong. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Stop worrying about your debt and responsibility. Did it ever occur to you that a big burden is a blessing? It shows you how able you really are, and you become even better just so you can carry it. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). It's a day of instant karma and fast results. The bigger your game, the more likely you are to win. Pick a new area of your life to apply this high-octane energy. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Self-reliance is a fabulous feeling. People who've figured prominently in your past decision-making are no longer influencing you, but you still enjoy their company. SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Outrageous ideas are presented in the realm of career and finance. Believe you will be successful! When you believe, your mind finds ways to make it happen. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The path of least resistance actually has the most to teach. If it's not working, don't force it. You're starting to trust people more and depend more on your spiritual guides. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). The universe is expanding and so are you. Why settle for the status quo? With a little help from a resume writer, you can transform your career. Pick your top five targets, and plan to make your presence known tomorrow. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). There's no denying that spiritual principles play a bigger part in your financial life than the hard-core numbers do. Belief in yourself is something you can take all the way to the bank. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Usually, gambling is a bad idea, but your serendipitous luck is so strong right now, you may as well have fun and take a risk. Having high hopes is one of your most beautiful assets. FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: The holiness of this week is felt even by people who are not celebrating some kind of religious holiday -- but considering the myriad of days being celebrated, which includes the Holy Day of Thelema, Palm Sunday, Passover, Good Friday and Easter, such a person might be hard to find. It's very appropriate that Pluto, the representative of awesome spiritual power, should win the planetary popularity contest this week. (This he does despite the fact that somewhere in the world this very minute, scientists are still arguing about whether or not he should even be called a planet.) Pluto is like a guru now, and Mars, Mercury and the sun participate in his sermon. They pipe up with questions, concerns and challenges. Pluto answers in a cool and intimidating way, his message consistent. Know your source. Know what drives you, what fuels you, what forces you. When you know this, you can change if you want to -- or not. When you don't know your own motivation, change can be more complicated. Hint: People usually do what they do until they find something more compelling to do. The full moon on the 13th presents the perfect time to renew your convictions. CELEBRITY PROFILES: Ethereal Emmy winner Patricia Arquette charms audiences as a ghost chaser on NBC's "Medium," but is she really psychic? With love planet Venus in intuitive Pisces, she is most connected with close loved ones and can communicate to them telepathically with a little practice. In the upcoming year, I predict this feisty Aries will enjoy an Oscar buzz for her return to the cinema in "Fast Food Nation." | | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will.

| | Hola Amigos! I'm Sandra. I like to believe that people are 70 percent good and 30 percent dumb. I'm stickin to that story. Reading this blog might make you want to be good, but probably just dumb. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
