Everyone has an ego to protect. The chances of getting anything done without paying a little respect are slim. The Leo moon is like Mary Poppins -- a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down. Though Mars in Taurus has a moody ploy, threatening sour grapes, the Leo moon suggests we make it all better with sweetness.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Life is your stand-up act. You've got all the one-liners and even a sidekick who can be your rim-shot drummer. And the best part -- you have an audience of strangers who, for a few precious moments, are united in laughter.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). On with the grand experiment. You'll try at least five ways to solve your problem before you hit on the one that works brilliantly. A Capricorn person is part of the solution.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). There's another side to you, but you're not the only one with dual features. Look for hidden heroism in the seemingly ordinary people around you. You're uniquely qualified to see it.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your inability to connect with someone is a temporary state that can be undone today with one conversation. Through understanding, all the walls come tumbling down.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You're mixing with others who have just as many questions as you do, if not more. There is not one guru with all the answers, but each person you meet will have one answer, and you'll have one for them, too.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 15). You're extremely thoughtful about the direction you'd like your life to take this year. However, there are some decisions you immediately know are right for you. Seize these opportunities, and fascinating developments perk up your personal and professional life through the next 10 weeks. Capricorn and Libra people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 7, 4, 33, 16 and 48.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Dare to be idealistic, giving yourself over to your highest dreams. This may seem scary, but it is far less scary than what happens when you don't go for it.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You care what others think of you, only because it echoes what you think of yourself. A bit of encouragement from a fellow air sign -- Gemini or Aquarius -- can help you raise your self-estimation.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). One of your more extreme moods takes hold, and there's no such thing as halfway. Whatever your business today -- even if it's the business of finding work -- you do it with all the force of your spirit.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Your family, friends and acquaintances are, unbeknownst to you, doing a bit of PR on your behalf. Good thing -- your reputation is more important than money in the bank.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Take the time to do things exactly right. In the future, your customer, client or boss won't remember how long it took you to do the job, but will only remember that you did it well.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Bodily discomfort could be a signal that you're uncomfortable with what you're being asked to do. You can right the situation with a few well-chosen words. When you speak your truth, it is the truth of every person.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). An unwise decision you made long ago gives you a point of empathy for others when they mess up. You're able to be deeply compassionate with loved ones now because of your own past mistake.
FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: Let's peek behind the scenes at our planetary cast of characters on this the last week of the sun in Cancer's show. The exuberant sun is feeling watered down by the hefty amount of emoting, and wants to sneak away for some personal downtime and requisite napping on the beach. "Sheesh, another personal day?" the director complains. Venus in Virgo, carrying mop and bucket, can't resist sounding off on a gripe, mainly about the division of labor in love relationships. "The housework, the unpaid bills ... he's just not pulling his weight!" Mars in Taurus trudges along, stubbing his toe on the same bent nail he's already complained about to the labor-relations board. When he joins with Uranus later this week, he'll find a new route to avoid that nail altogether. The moon looks on, wearing Mona Lisa's knowing smile, with instructions for everyone. Sun: Focus on your strengths. Venus: Love doesn't keep score. Mars: Look up from the ground. By the first-quarter moon in Libra's curtain call, everyone's getting along beautifully.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Cancer people are known as great founders of civilization. It's their ability to bring different walks of life together, their resourcefulness at defending, protecting and providing, that makes this so. Minnesotans embraced rebel spitfire Jesse Ventura as governor, but if he ran for president in 2008, would he win? He might try. Ventura will be looking for a leadership role this year.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
