The sun in Cancer has a plan, but her every attempt is thwarted by the elements. Maybe it's a boondoggle! If you've ever seen a dog digging a hole in the sand, you understand the meaning of boondoggle. The sand folds right back in! While futile strategies reveal themselves today, others show promise of working ... eventually.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Can you be sorry you did something and still be willing to do it again? Not really. The action in question fills a deep need. The saving grace is that this need can be filled in more ways than one.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Stonecutters sometimes hammer away at a rock a hundred times without seeing so much as a crack. Then, on whack number 101, it all comes apart. Keep pounding away; you're about to break this thing open.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're rolling in a high-stakes game now, but it's remarkably similar to when you were playing for pennies. Do what has to be done without a worry as to the cost.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). The stars align to amplify your social charms. It's like you can cast a spell on anyone you choose to enchant. Flirt your way through a traffic jam or out of a sticky situation at work.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You tend to think of love as something that is destined, something that just happens -- chalk it up to chemistry, magic, luck. Well, today, it's a lot more like hard work. But you're up for it.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 16). What used to be challenging is normal this year -- proof that you're stronger than ever. Your accomplishments are on display this month and next. When friends brag about you, don't stop them! Just say "thank you." September brings a dear someone's return. October brings a windfall. You share a connection with Aries and Virgo people. Your lucky numbers are: 9, 22, 49, 25 and 36.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Today shows you doing something that, if done right, you'll never have to do again. Bring your A-game and your supportive team members -- Capricorn and Leo people.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The game has changed. So when you feel mystified as to what's going on, know that you're not alone. Rub your eyes, and then refocus. Through observation, you'll figure out the new rules.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Your communication style is direct and cutting edge. By just being yourself, you may intimidate someone whose style is more diplomatic and old-fashioned. Awareness keeps you in fine form.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There's no more capable problem solver than you. Even if it seems like overkill, use the sharpest tool in your kit to fix what needs fixing. Tonight, turn in early -- tomorrow is a big day.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Why settle for being continually disgruntled? A new mental picture will energize your love life. Be optimistic. A loved one is willing to accommodate your needs.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Everybody wants you. Keeping busy won't be a problem. Relaxing might be. Affirm the following: "Help is all around, and I accept it freely. I deserve to relax."
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your star quality attracts new opportunities -- in fact, more opportunity than you're ready to take on. Ask your loved ones to share the load, and then actually let them do this.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "My birthday is Sept. 5, 1980. I was born in Boston at 6:45 p.m. My spouse was born Oct. 26, 1979. We're in a rough patch, and I feel like I'm at a dead end. We've been together for seven years, married for less than one, and it isn't getting any easier. There are a lot of issues going on with anger, and my feelings are constantly being disregarded and hurt. I feel raw toward the one I love. Can we make our relationship work? If so, how?" He's extremely sensitive to your anger. When you express your anger, he recoils -- from everything you do and say in those heated moments. You both have Scorpio in your respective charts, so resentments and grudges don't really die until you make a conscious choice not to bring them up ever again. You need to hold yourselves to the following rules: Don't bring up past arguments or old wounds. When you need to feel heard, he agrees to listen without interrupting until you're finished. In the heat of the moment, hold this in your hearts: The point isn't to win the argument; the point is to restore your loving connection, which, for you two, is written in the stars.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Will Ferrell, a medium? Cancer folks clue in to their personal environment and interpret it subjectively. With his moon in Scorpio, Ferrell can reinvent himself for a character, seamlessly homing in on the pulse of the mood and moment. Like the moon, he's loony-tunes, too, which is why Cancer people make great comedians. If Ferrell chooses romantic leading roles this year, a receptive audience awaits.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
