Light travels faster than the speed of sound, creating a garbled relationship between seeing a thing and hearing it. In the delay, second guesses abound. Was it real? The relationship between Mercury and Neptune inspires us to do a reality check in more than one area of life now. Poke around. Ask the tough questions.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). What's the difference between making a commitment to a person and merely having an interest in him or her? That's easy! A date. Agreeing to meet up at a place in time makes all the difference in the world.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). The wind is shifting. You could make a buddy out of a former adversary, or blow your spirit into a sinking situation, making it something buoyant with only a few big breaths of effort.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're the official greeter of the zodiac now, making people feel welcome and warming up whatever crowd you land in. Think of this as practice for the new people coming into your world.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You may get an earful of your own publicity. It's strange to hear what others are saying about your recent doings. The upshot: You're becoming the remarkable person you always wanted to be.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You already know all you need to know. Now all you have to do is trust. Push your mind and emotions into a situation, and try it on without taking your body there yet -- saving yourself time and hassle.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 18). This year brings a subtle revolution in your life. You take an intuitive approach, trusting that you're guided by divine forces to do good in the world. You'll be living your romantic notions through August -- someone is mad for you! Investments come to fruition in September. Capricorn and Pisces people are unconditionally supportive. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 2, 20, 14 and 57.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Making friends with the past is your theme of the day. The past, just like the rest of your friends, requires some time and attention in order to warm up to you. So go ahead and take that little trip down memory lane.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Taking on the role of "work horse" gets old fast when there's no reprieve in sight. Don't be a beast of burden. Go the other direction. Spoil yourself. Ultimately it motivates you to achieve more.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Feelings of defensiveness are worthy of your attention. They let you know that there is toxic stress inside you that still needs to be released. A long walk is healing.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Someone isn't telling you the whole truth, which prevents you from achieving all the success you desire. Approach opponents in a non-threatening way. Genuine curiosity drives you to the heart of the matter.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). A realization: You're fine just as you are. Success will not make you, in the same way that failure will not break you. Still, you can't help but strive -- it's like it's in your DNA.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You believe in yourself, and others believe in you, too. Maybe you're even being groomed for advancement. The world responds kindly to your honesty and lack of pretense.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Something is going terribly right in your world! It's crucial to acknowledge this, so that you are inspired to continue to create more of that good thing -- even if you don't know how you created it to begin with!
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "It has been one thing or another for my entire life. I'm legally blind and turned 58 on June 1. What is my direction now? I've totally run out of all ideas and inspiration. The stars have never failed me. Can you help?" Saturn has been messing with your get-up-and-go (Mars) lately -- you're blocked, restless and impatient. But Jupiter is wooing your moon and sun to get outside your comfort zone and take a risk. Easy for him to say! It's like he's telling you to look at life as though it were a carnival, and you can't muster the optimism to even check out the clowns. Entertain happy thoughts. Be open to faith. My concern is that you'll stay small when the universal forces want you to be bigger. Is it possible for you to travel? If so, it's a life-changing journey. Can you draw on your generous psychic and intuitive powers to counsel others? You need to be intellectually active and on the move this year, so why not take a class or teach one? Give your Gemini spirit the variety it craves, and you'll have one fabulous year!
CELEBRITY PROFILES: The life of Camilla Parker Bowles, the diary of a duchess. The royal love story could only be written by a pining Cancer, sigh. She waited decades before marrying the love of her life. The Crab's infamously clingy claws came in handy. Parker Bowles' sun, Mercury, moon and Venus in Cancer suit her royal duties: making shows of compassionate humanitarian support on diplomatic tours.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
