Fort Collins Weekly, NEXTnc undergo changes |

The Fort Collins Weekly and NextNC, both partner publications with the Greeley Tribune under the Northern Colorado Communications umbrella, will undergo changes in early August.
Beginning Aug. 3 and 4, the Fort Collins Weekly's name will change to Fort Collins Now, and it will begin publishing on Fridays and Saturdays. The Weekly began publication in March 2003 with an emphasis on in-depth coverage of the Fort Collins area, and it now circulates 33,700 copies weekly.
Joel Dyer, owner and publisher, said the change will be a good one for its growing readership.
"First and foremost, our readers are going to be getting more than twice as much Fort Collins news," Dyer said. "We'll certainly be adding some different sections that historically we haven't had the room to add, so it will be a more complete newspaper. We're really, really excited, and we're sure our readers will be as well."
Northern Colorado Communications announced July 2 that it was adding the Fort Collins Weekly to its lineup of publications, which includes The Greeley Tribune, Windsor Now and La Tribuna.
NextNC, which NCC launched more than a year ago to cover lifestyle and entertainment news throughout northern Colorado, will become a regional entertainment magazine on Aug. 3. It will replace the Tribune's Friday Weekend section, and some of NextNC entertainment content will be used in both the Fort Collins Now and Windsor Now publications.
Windsor Now, a free three-day-a-week tabloid newspaper, was launched July 4 in the Windsor-Severance area. Its publication dates are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. | Only registered users can write comments.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
