Singer Britney Spears has agreed to host the Aug. 31 gala for the opening of the new Vegas club LAX, whose investors include Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie’s former fiance, DJ AM.
It is not known whether the rehab alumna will perform. Nor, it seems, is it known whether rumors are true that Britney’s new single, “Get Back,” will drop this week.
According to gossip blog Celebrity Rumors (www.celebrityrumors.com), the tune, which will give the world the first whiff of Brit’s first studio album in years, is a powerhouse composition with sublime lyrics — Britney wrote them.
“So baby now,” the song goes, “you’re the one who’s looking for me/ i wonder why?/ cuz u used to be the one/ who asked me to let her be.” The song goes on to suggest the “you” in question “want us to get back.” | Only registered users can write comments.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
