The moon is on the wane in Cancer, and taking care of primary needs is the most positive way to use her diminishing energy. The moon has a practical industriousness, if only we can get over our tendency toward moodiness and inertia. Moping? Eliminate the workweek's psychic leftovers by wrapping up emotional loose ends.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). There are myriad tasks you can do in your sleep. Just think of how much better off you'll be when you're actually awake and aware. A mid-afternoon surprise startles you into a higher gear.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You step into a new and more prestigious arena. When you play with the big kids, it's inevitable that you get knocked around a bit. But you roll with the punches and regain balance quickly.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). In order to get inside information, whispers from the universe or even hunches, you have to be listening. So ask your question again, and then quiet down so you can hear the answer.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Passion stirs your heart. What to do about it? Only you know. The rules go out the window when it comes to love. Shakespeare said, "Let every eye negotiate for itself, and trust no agent."

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Tempting offers are dangled before your nose -- likely of a financial nature. Use your moral compass along with your business sense. Better to lose your money and save your soul.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Aug. 10). You have clear and simple goals this year, and you make them happen. The organization of your personal life attracts a magnificent prize this month. Your move in November catapults you into a life circumstance you've long wanted to experience. Wedding bells ring in January. Your love signs are Gemini and Libra. Your lucky numbers are: 6, 37, 22, 16 and 20.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You're still influenced by someone who is very much in your past, and indeed may no longer be living. Likewise, the influence you exert over others today will be felt for years beyond your life.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Make a hard ethical call. Subsequent decisions will require less effort. When you stand for what is right in today's situation, it's easier to do so tomorrow, and the next day.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Right now you're hungry to learn -- so hungry that knowledge is like a salty potato chip that compels you to keep reaching into the bag for another delicious bit, and another, and anotherÖ

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Since you've yet to form an opinion about who you want to be in a new situation, you're wonderfully open. The books you read and the people you listen to are able to impress and enchant you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Better to get caught up in the moment than to let it slip away untouched. Act on generous impulses the moment you feel them. Otherwise, the world has a cooling, hardening influence.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Exclusivity isn't for you. You want to be available to many people from all walks of life. You'll get a message tonight. Follow without hesitation, and new additions sparkle up your scene.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're polite. But any arrangement that's being hard-sold to you is the wrong arrangement for you. Walk away or hang up the phone. Self-preservation is never rude.

WEEKEND LOVE FORECAST: ARIES: When you're ready to give your heart completely, you're thrilled to discover it's as easy as falling in love. TAURUS: Taking a practical approach to family matters moves you from a position of doubt to self-possessed strength. GEMINI: Open your mind, rearrange your point of view, and the love expands proportionally. CANCER: It's not what you have to give, but the invaluable joy you inspire in others that counts. LEO: Reinvent yourself as an impresario of serious fun, and you grow even more famously adorable. VIRGO: Service to others is the highest calling in the universe, endearing you to the people you love. LIBRA: It's a sociable, fun weekend, and when opportunity knocks, you answer. SCORPIO: On cue, a significant relationship pulls you into the limelight. You're ready. SAGITTARIUS: Consider any contrarian on the scene to be an informant -- for your next 007 love adventure. CAPRICORN: You're given a fresh start, another chance for someone to vest in you more fully. AQUARIUS: In someone's starry eyes, you hang the moon. Lavish them with love, and reach for the moon together. PISCES: Your willingness to work for love is glorious. You're building a workable future for two.

COUPLE OF THE WEEKEND: With the sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn in the constellation of notice-me Leo, who will fall under Leo's spell? Trick question: everyone! OK, next to Leo's enthusiasm and joie de vivre, fellow fire signs, Aries and Sagittarius, can hold their own, but Aries and Leo are kindred spirits in love, both young at heart. Their secret love potion is to bare their hearts openly, honestly and courageously.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
