Don't wait till tomorrow to tell people you appreciate them. Tell them now! Mercury and Venus embrace in outspoken Leo for heart-on-your-sleeve love confessions. How many ways are there to declare you care? Love poems, a painting or a nice tattoo would do. Artistic license isn't only allowed — it's required.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Lost souls drift into your realm. Refrain from trying to direct them. It's not your expertise, but your compassion that's really needed. Listen with an open heart.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You're more sensitive than usual. You'd like it if others were quieter, better listeners and quicker on the uptake of your requests. Quality time to yourself will be restorative.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're learning the art of brinksmanship. What seems extreme could be your best solution. You have such conviction in your heart that you forget to worry about consequences.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Everyone agrees with you, except maybe you. There's a time to be self-critical — ultimately that's how you improve — but this isn't that time. Hop on your own side. Make a case for yourself.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). When you see the value in a thing you can't help but sell it. You'll make a fantastic buyer, agent or promoter. Scorpio and Libra people are honored to call you "friend."
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Aug. 16). Your "do it now" attitude brings life together in new and creative ways this year. New business thrives in September. Sock money away for a fabulous spring vacation. Singles are finally content, without the pressure of needing a partner — and, of course, that's when the perfect one comes along. Libra and Capricorn people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 20, 15, 49 and 18.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). When working hard, it's better to look ahead — not sideways. It doesn't do any good to compare yourself to those performing a similar task. Rest assured, no one is doing exactly what you're doing.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). A bustling environment requires you to stay alert, know when to assert yourself and when to dodge. Whatever happens — good or not so good — your best interests are being served.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You get what you expect. So keep those expectations high, and more importantly, let the people around you know exactly what they are. A Leo person in particular won't disappoint.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). A full life includes spending special time with friends. Develop connections that make you actually want to put a high value on friendship. (If you wonder where you'll find the time, your priorities need work.)
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Once you find work that resonates with you, it makes no sense to waste your time on anything that doesn't. Tonight: Communication may get foiled. Repeat yourself, and write things down.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). The past must be faced — again. You're the one who benefits from the ability to forgive and forget. Singles wonder whether they'll ever be able to find fulfillment and love. Don't lose hope.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Wonderful accomplishments can come of partners who disagree. So don't be afraid of tension. Take it as an indicator of how comfortable you really are with someone.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I was born March 6, 1955, and my partner was born Dec. 9, 1953. He's an alcoholic and our relationship teeters. I care about him, but realize it'll never work. I'm confused because he says he loves me, but his demeanor shows different (verbally, mentally abusive). I believe I deserve to be happy. What can I do to gently say goodbye?"
You don't need tenderness; you need courage. You've taken the first step by writing me. Your next is to set a date for yourself — the day you loved yourself enough to leave. Then write it down on your calendar and tell it to your friends so they can support you by holding you to it. After that, make a timeline with action steps, a countdown. If you're living together, you'll need a place to stay — start looking in week one, and so on. As a Pisces, you've given him tons of your tenderness already. Your challenge is to unwaveringly stick to your commitment to be loved in the way you deserve. Do this by taking bite-sized practical (not overwhelming) steps toward your future. Here's my pick for your emancipation date: Sept. 7.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: There's a theory in astrology that the people who create great things in life have a chart that demonstrates challenge, because obstacles shape character and life direction. If so, Madonna defies definition — proving blond ambition can break any so-called rule. It's also a fitting notion for this chameleonesque star, whose hardworking Virgo side relentlessly perfects her craft.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
