The Pisces full moon is eclipsed by the sun. When one of the lights goes out, itís like an 8-millimeter film reel skipping a track -- and that pause disrupts delicate inner rhythms. From the balcony, Mercury and Uranusís mental chatter heightens already taut nervous systems, so keep your wits about you (and donít overindulge on the popcorn!).

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're a hard worker. Make "no wasted effort" your motto. Not all jobs are worthy of your attention. Tasks that are both torturous and terrific have high enough stakes to merit your energy.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Everything is connected. Because of this, no one can change alone. Use your connection with others as leverage to turn up your willpower, discipline and drive. You'll find you have the strength of all your links combined.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Stars shine on your creativity. You can make a crumb of experience go a long way because you never seem to run out of ideas. Just think what you could do if you had the whole sandwich.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You continue to grow up -- a courageous way to live, as it requires you to be honest, face your fears and deal with them. What you do tonight, you do for your family as much as for yourself.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You perform better when you have too much to do. (Having not enough to do makes you want to do nothing at all.) Only the most vigorous and positive ideas have the power to motivate you.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (AUGUST 28). You're very careful about the situations you get into this year because you realize that your talent is not to be wasted. September turns up your psychic awareness -- you can spot someone's attitude a mile away. You leverage your power well in November and are paid handsomely. July is so romantic! Aquarius and Pisces adore you. Your lucky numbers are 8, 10, 30, 22 and 17.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Not everybody wants to change the world, you know. So when you declare your own personal revolution, donít be offended if all you get is foggy looks. They'll understand later.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You know the secret about spreading good cheer. When you're bringing sunshine into someone's world, your own picture can't help but look bright. Tonight, you communicate perfectly without words.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Today is filled with golden, slippery moments. The more temporary a situation is, the better you can see and appreciate its beauty. You're wise not to try to hold anything too tight.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). OK, so you're not spending the day doing exactly what you like. But you're doing what you have to do, and there's satisfaction -- and maybe even happiness -- in that. Isolate the joy in it, and take pleasure.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Where's your mojo? It's is not in your lucky sweater or your fancy shoes. It's not in your wallet, and you certainly didn't leave it in the car. Well, you can stop looking. It was never lost anyway; you just forgot you had it.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Work goes smoothly when know when to get on a project -- and when to get off. Think like you're surfing a wave. Ride down the face of the wave and then leap off before it comes crashing down.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). No one owns you, or has ever owned you, though many have rented space in your control booth. Today's planets help you recognize how you might have given someone the illusion of power over you.

ASTROLOGICAL TOPIC: There's a full-moon lunar eclipse in Pisces -- what does it portend for you? Many creation myths revolve around the sun or moon being eaten by a dragon or serpent during eclipse seasons, marking significant shifts in collective events and consciousness. In Hindu myth, dragon Rahu snuck into the god realm to try to drink from the elixir of life. This angered the sun and moon, who stopped him after he took only a sip by cutting him in half, thus cutting the dragonís timeless, spiritual gifts (his head) from his worldly desires (his tail, which fell to the earth). Symbolically, eclipses are significant time-markers for humans, as many people find themselves at a crossroads, ready to turn corners and take on new evolutionary challenges. Significant historical and personal events cluster around eclipse times, and we may be called to act quickly. Reason may not be on your side, though (remember the dragonís head is separated from his tale), so the best way to manage unsettling eclipse energy is to respond and let it happen rather than make new decisions. Let whatís been already set in motion come to you -- another way of saying that when the river of life pulls you, just flow with it!

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Virgo Shania Twainís (8/28/65) musical career mayíve been born of practical necessity. From a young age, Shania sang at local clubs to help her family put food on the table, and at age 22, when her mother and adoptive father died, she sang once again to support her siblings. All this before she was ìdiscoveredî! This Virgoís life demonstrates grace in action: Serve others first and you will be cared for.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
