The planetary pantheon is suspiciously quiet, which suits the peaceable Taurus moon to a T. The Virgo sun proposes getting in sync with your body and squaring up basic needs. Finding a comfortable pace makes this busy holiday weekend enjoyable, as does eating well and sharing the company of close friends. Discover the pleasure of doing nothing.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Feeling happy is preventative medicine. It's more important than getting enough sleep or eating the right vegetables. So make yourself happy, and avoid a future trip to the doctor.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Get organized. How do you know when you're organized enough? When you've built a system that utilizes the best tools and technology to bring out the best in you and everyone who uses it.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You value spontaneity. Paradoxically, you'll feel the most spontaneous and free once you've made a plan. Invite Aries or Virgo to help you iron out the details. They're simpatico.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Others carry out your orders quickly because the way you deal with people is so gracious. It doesn't seem like you're giving orders at all -- merely making suggestions for better living.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You can stretch yourself without stressing yourself today. It's as though you were always meant to reach. Fellow fire signs Aries and Sagittarius are firmly planted in your cheering section.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (SEPTEMBER 1). You bring in this new phase of your life with the hopeful attitude that your wishes can come true. Within three weeks, you've made a few of the connections that will make it so. The rest takes hard work and an optimistic attitude. You certainly know how to build a mystery through this fall. Cancer and Scorpio are endlessly intrigued by you. Your lucky numbers are: 7, 2, 13, 24 and 30.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You begin a project. This might take the form of simply having a thought or two about what you'd like to do. These thoughts are highly significant. "The beginning is the most important part of the work," Plato tells us.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). When you're with friends, what was once scary becomes an adventure. You have the courage to say what you wouldn't say alone. If you can't be with your friends today, at least phone them. Yes, now.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The best solution to a problem is the one where not much can go wrong. Keep the plan simple, and involve as few people as possible. There's a lot you can handle superbly all on your own.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). It hardly seems fair that you get the attention of a powerful person -- likely an influential Capricorn or Libra -- all to yourself. But you do. Be ready, and be remarkable. The moment is yours to own.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Where would you like to be -- physically, mentally and emotionally -- at the end of the day? You eliminate time-consuming mistakes by thinking of that first and then planning accordingly.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). There's a lucrative opportunity to make good on underused skills. And if you can accommodate an offbeat request, you earn even more. Attraction tip: Say less, and be adored more.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You may require a rescue. This endears you to your hero. There's no need to worry about the score. You'll likely wind up paying it forward instead of reciprocating. That's just as good -- maybe better.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "My birthday is June 30, 1969. I believe that makes me a Cancer -- or a moonchild, as my mom likes to say. I have been divorced for about five years, and since then I have been on only one date, and that was not what I'd call a successful date. Any advice you have for me about how I can find a girlfriend, or a wife, would be appreciated. Don't be afraid to suggest anything that you think others may find unusual. I am very open-minded. And, as you can tell, Iím a bit desperate!" Any woman will tell you that desperation does not bode well for dating. Wipe that word from your vocabulary. Itís not just linguistics -- youíre emitting the haunting vibration of loneliness every time you think it. It must be a pheromone blocker because others smell it. If you want someone to fall in love with you, fall in love with yourself. Make your life so wonderful that your friends are envious, and I guarantee someone special will be intrigued. Make yourself irresistible to YOU, and in December 2007, people take notice.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Break it down for us, Virgo. When Dr. Phil McGraw (9/01/50) calls it as he sees it, why is it so remarkably refreshing? Maybe itís because we need that particular skill set of Virgo. Virgoís remarkable gut instinct, aided by an ever-ready intellect, strips away falsities with a swift ìGet real.î And Virgoís world is real, not ideal -- appropriately, Dr. Philís birds-eye view gives the forlorn a reality primer. | Only registered users can write comments. | | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will.

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!

| | My name is Michelle Turley and I'm 28 years old. I live in Severance with my hubbie, Brandon. We have 2 dogs and a cat. We enjoy camping, four-wheeling, and just being in the mountains. I like to cook, clean (go figure), flea market, and play poker. I have so much to say about poker... | | |
