The Bas Bleu Theatre Co.’s opening of “1940s Radio Christmas Carol” has been postponed for a week.
It will open Saturday, Nov. 17.
An illness to Walton Jones, the writer and director, caused the delay. Denver director Terry Dodd is filling in for Jones and will help get the production off the ground.
The new schedule for the production looks like this:• 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17, opening night with catered reception • 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 29 • 2:30 p.m. Sunday matiness Nov. 18, 25, Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 • 7:30 p.m. Thursday nights Dec. 13, 20 and 27 Tickets $19, $15 for seniors, $12 for students; call 498.8949 or go online to www.basbleu.org.
The theater is at 401 Pine St. in Fort Collins.
JAM'S SEASON FINALE The Bluegrass Gospel Jam’s season finale is at Johnson’s Corner on Saturday, Nov. 10.
The jam will start about 1:30 p.m. and will run for about three hours to accommodate all the musicians scheduled to play. The informal jam will start at 5 p.m.
Some of the northern Colorado musicians scheduled to appear are: Goozey Gospel Guys, Ron Camerrer, Virginia Culbertson, Sharon Fruik, Pat McKeon, Diane Urdahl, Elaine Ann, Mike Osborn, Cliff Stewart, Bill and Carol Trobee, Fred Staats, Karen Williams, Neal McSwain and Beth Jacobs.
HIP HOP SHOW The Hip Hop Explosion is set to take the stage Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Lincoln Center, 417 Magnolia St., in Fort Collins.
The show is sponsored by the Colorado State University Black Student Alliance. It starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 the day of the show. Go to fcgov.com/lctix for more information.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
