Q: I have a question about a commercial. Who is the actor in the “Milk Shake’’ commercial from Hardee’s? Has he done anything else?
A: Kyle Dunnigan, a comedian and actor, was on “Cedric the Entertainer Presents” and had a recurring role on “Reno 911!” He is in the original ad — called ``Cow Shake’’ because it involves shaking cows — and its sequel. He also has a Web site, www.kyledunnigan.com. (Some content is not appropriate for all ages.) Another actor, Guilford Adams (www.guilfordadams.com), joined Dunnigan in the sequel ad.
Q: My daughter and I watched a taped rerun of “Without A Trace” that ran on Aug. 17. The tape cut off just before the end of the program and we missed Jack’s report to the two mothers as to which of the two missing children was found alive. We would appreciate knowing the ending.
A: The problem may not have been in your tape. The episode — called “White Balance” — dealt with the different attention given to a missing white girl and a missing African-American boy. It ended without saying which was alive, to underscore the point that all lives should be equally important.
Q: On “Your Hit Parade.’’ there were two couples who sang duets (also solos). They were Gisele MacKenzie, Dorothy Collins, Snooky Lanson and ????? Who was the fourth singer? Hope you can solve this mystery for us.
A: Short answer: Russell Arms. Longer answer: The TV version of “Your Hit Parade” —a weekly showcase of pop songs —went through a lot of cast changes, according to “The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable TV Shows,” by Tim Brooks and Earle Marsh. The show began in 1950 with Eileen Wilson, Lanson and Collins. Sue Bennett joined in 1951. Wilson and Bennett left in 1952, when June Valli and Arms came in. MacKenzie arrived in 1953, when Valli left. MacKenzie, Lanson, Arms and Collins lasted until 1957, when the entire cast was changed. By the way, there was also a 1974 version of the show, with Chuck Woolery.
Q: There was a movie, I think in the late ‘60s, called “Griffin Loves Phoenix.’’ It was about two people dying, who meet in a class on death. I read the book, saw the TV movie and haven’t been able to find it since. Help!
A: “Griffin and Phoenix: A Love Story” was a 1976 weeper starring Peter Falk and Jill Clayburgh. (A new version with Dermot Mulroney and Amanda Peet is being completed.) It was released on VHS. Although it is not in commercial distribution now, you can find used copies for sale on www.amazon.com starting at about $30.
Q: Could you please tell me who the actor is on the Progressive Insurance Ad. He does the commercial where he says ``it’s not tingling’’ with shampoo on his head. I think his first name is Jeffrey. Also what TV show was he on? This is making me crazy trying to remember! Thanks.
A: That’s Jeffrey Tambor, most recently known for “Arrested Development” (and co-starring this fall with John Lithgow on “20 Good Years”). John O’Hurley and Ryan Stiles have also appeared in Progressive ads. You can find them online at www.driveinsurance.com. | Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. |

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
