The Lincoln Center’s schedule for the 2008-09 season is out, and it includes some familiar names, repeat visitors, big-name acts and a few shows you’ve probably never heard of.
In its 30th season, the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins continues to offer shows categorized into seven “series.” The big shows are the “Showstoppers,” acts for the younger set are in the “Imagination” series, and the other performances settle neatly into their categories — Classical, Dance, and Adventure Cinema.
The “Anything Goes” series are acts not easily categorized, like “Capitol Steps” and its political humor, and “Special Events” include the “Last Comic Standing” tour and the world music of the Soweto Gospel Choir.
Of note, “American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard will come to town in “Ain’t Misbehavin’.”
New season ticket sales for Showstoppers begin July 14; Anything Goes and Imagination, July 28; Dance, Classical Music and Adventure Cinema, July 21. Call the box office at 221-6730 from 12:30-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, or go to fcgov.com/lctix.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
