I had a wonderful time at Kilgore's family diner is in Milliken, Colorado on Wednesday night. A good friend of mine invited me down to the diner for an evening of karaoke.  My friend Juan has been a DJ for many years and is the MC in the bar under the name of Johnny Cruz and is a spectacle and a show all by himself. Ask anyone that knows him and you will find that he is one of the most caring and wonderful people you will ever find and an infectious energy pours out of him.  His attention to every detail of the karaoke experience and vast collection and knowledge of popular music makes it quite an event for any person who loves to sing.

The bar at Kilgore's family diner is a laid-back comfortable place where everybody's a friend and from what I understand quite busy on Friday nights. Being a Wednesday it was a little quieter but I still had a great time and I had a chance to sit down with the owner (JoAnn) and find out little bit about how Kilgore's came into existence.

I only had an appetizer and a Coke during my visit but the food seemed very tasty.

This establishment seems to be going through a nice transition, changing to the needs of customers and the community. Making itself a vital part of the Milliken area. If you get a chance you should stop in.

Wednesdays and Fridays they have karaoke and look for daily food specials. They recently added a pool table for those who like to shoot a little pool plus you always have a chance to meet some really wonderful people.

Kilgore's family diner is located at 903 Broad St. in the heart of Milliken

I hope to see you there.

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
