The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion For Xbox 360, ages 13 and older $59 standard, $69 collector’s edition
SWORDPLAY: Oblivion is the only role-playing game out for the Xbox 360, but the game is so massive that it probably can keep even a hard-core gamer busy for months. You’re supposed to find out who killed the emperor, and you have to find his heir, all while battling to shut the gates to the underworld.
HACK AND SLASH: If you’re not interested in all the intricacies of RPG combat, you can just play the game as first-person shooter with swords and arrows.
MY KINGDOM FOR A HORSE: Every aspect of this medieval world has been fleshed out in stupendous detail. Trees and mountains occasionally pop up as the game struggles to load all the scenery.
BOTTOM LINE: Oblivion is one of the most complete game worlds you’ll ever enter. Every computer-controlled character seems to live a life of his own. There are a couple of bugs, but the excellent gameplay, beautiful graphics and intricate story are well worth the investment.
Capcom Classics Collection - Remixed For Sony PSP, ages 13 and older $39
OLD-SCHOOL: This collection of classic titles is nearly a must-have, with a few shortcomings. It’s a great set of 20 games — including Final Fight, Bionic Commando, 1941 and Strider — and you don’t have to figure out the controls.
WHAT’S ON THE DISK: For some, one game alone will be worth the price of entry. Final Fight was one of the all-time best games on the Super Nintendo, and the side-scrolling fighting game makes the transition perfectly to the PSP.
WHAT’S NOT ON THE DISK: The fact that the disk only includes the original Street Fighter will be a major letdown. Also, there’s no Ghost ‘n Goblins, although Capcom does include a preview of its upcoming stand-alone PSP version of the game. Finally, the games don’t natively support the PSP’s full wide-screen mode.
BOTTOM LINE: If you’re the sort of person who downloads a lot of cell phone games, this compilation is for you. | Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. |

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
