TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (April 13). You exert your independence this year, which, in a strange way, attracts more support than ever for your heart's desire. Also, you're slowly but surely expanding your circle of influence. Every week, you let people in on what you're all about. In July, new and old people alike will celebrate you. Aquarius and Sagittarius people are devoutly adoring. Your lucky numbers are: 27, 44, 26, 20 and 49.
Tonight, with its beautiful full moon, warrior Mars enters Cancer, the watery and maternal sign of emotions. This transit lasts through June 3 and is an uneasy fit for Mars. At the same time, it's an energetic balancing for the aggressive planet. Get quiet often. Pay attention to feelings. Let intuition play a bigger role in your passionate pursuits.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). It may feel like the whole world is depending on you. Really, it's just three very needy, very persistent people. Take care of yourself first -- they'll understand.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You recognize something in someone that you absolutely know you want. Common sense goes out the window long enough for you to say something ridiculous and effective in order to seize the moment.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The answer to your question comes in the form of a person -- probably another air sign (Gemini, Libra or Aquarius). Make dinner plans with friends, and share your news.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). In the boat of life, you and your fellow oarsman must either work together, rowing in a common direction, or be content to go nowhere. You'll be the organizing element in any group situation you encounter.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You welcome the chance to change! A terrific new person helps along your career and social advancement, so be on your best behavior with those you hardly know.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Accept all (reasonable and borderline reasonable) invitations. As a result of saying "yes," you'll be swept up in an adventure. Also, if you haven't extended a social invitation in a while, now is the time to do so.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Rejection is nothing but a change in course on your path to success. If you are rejected today, count yourself among the lucky. Better to be stopped and put in the right direction than to wander, clueless, in the wrong direction!
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Take time to process the feedback you have been getting on a project. This saves you many hours of potentially wasted time. You're feeling mischievous tonight and will attract a so-called partner in crime.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Notice with whom you are the most comfortable, and consider why. It is advantageous to get more of this kind of energy flowing through your life -- the energy of effortless relationships.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You leave the house feeling like a million bucks. It's a good thing, too -- your attitude and your clothes determine who is open to you and who isn't. Close the deal this afternoon.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). A case of the envies has recently plagued you, but this afternoon, the stars help you become as objective as possible. Even if you had the opportunity, you wouldn't trade lives with anybody in the world!
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Loved ones are feeling sorry for themselves. It's up to you to remind them they've simply lost sight of the goal. Help them see it again. Your support is worth more than diamonds.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I was born Aug. 19, 1953, in Omaha, Neb., at 6:30 p.m. I was in banking for almost 30 years, caught in a downsize in December 2001, and now I find myself drifting from job to job. I'm lost as to what I want to do and where to start. Is there a reason for this, and is this my destiny? Do you see me returning to the financial industry or another field?"
I believe this layoff is a blessing, meant to give you an opportunity to follow a path your blossoming heart hasn't dared follow until now. I see an interest from your childhood that you stopped pursuing long ago. With your sun, Mercury and Mars all in Leo, I believe this is a very creative endeavor. Now is your chance to pick it up again, learn more about it and follow where it leads. Your schedule permits you to do so. When your heart is glad, your work becomes abundant again. Also, it's time to differentiate between the source of your income and the spigot from which it flows. Jobs such as your banking job are merely a spigot. The source is the universe itself.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Born under the sign of spring and newness, Claire Danes gives perpetually fresh performances. From a brooding teen in televisionís "My So Called Life" to a quaint retail clerk in "Shopgirl," Danes utilizes the Aries quest for novel experiences to tap into her characters. I see her focusing on her personal life now, which culminates in an elopement with her current boyfriend, Billy Crudup.

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
