The Taurus moon is a hungry moon. She wakes us up, not only to the grumble in our stomach, but to the void in our self-esteem or the gnawing need in our heart. Sometimes she mistakenly thinks that a shiny new possession will fix the problem. Other times she tries to fix everything with chocolate. Be wise to her misguided efforts!
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're the object of attention now -- too much attention, if that's possible. This is interesting for a while, but soon you become skeptical and may ask outright, "What do you want?"
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). There's still much to be learned about your heritage. Investigate, ask elders, probe for stories. What you can hand down to future generations, including a good story, is a source of pride.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You may realize that you have not set your sites high enough. If you're experiencing jealousy, this is the way the universe has chosen to show you your heart's desire.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You're on better terms with family than you've been in months. Encourage all to pull together for a collective goal or event. Talk plenty about what you intend to do, as this solidifies your approach.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You're at a crossroads. You may even wish someone else would make a tough decision for you. You're the only one who will choose right, though. Trust yourself.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Sept. 11). You're moving toward simplicity this year, gaining power as you go. A streamlining of your possessions and an organization of your personal life attracts a magnificent prize by the start of November. Spring for new experiences, especially travel, in December. Family respects your decisions. Leo and Sagittarius people spark your imagination. Lucky numbers are: 9, 31, 43, 51 and 27.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Your success has everything to do with how well you match the pace of what's going on around you. Are you walking ahead of or behind others? Walk side by side and feel loved.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Working alone can be, well, lonely! Find something to do that includes at least two other people. This keeps your mood light, and you'll earn points with your colleagues for your efforts to join the group.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You're put on the spot, but will do just fine. Being a water sign, you'll find it beneficial to mimic a duck -- calm above the surface, while paddling like crazy underneath.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Boldly extend yourself past the confines of your position. The person whose job it is to talk is better off listening. The person whose job it is to listen benefits from speaking up.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Brevity is the heart of levity. Spending a short amount of time on each of your many tasks, conversations and projects is your key to sustaining a buoyant mood.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Believe your first response -- the one attached to a physical sensation in your body; the one that occurs before you have a chance to rethink things or reason with yourself.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You no longer feel the need to judge or criticize a certain person. This indicates your graduation from the kind of entanglement and trouble this person represents. You're free to invest your energy elsewhere.
ASTROLOGICAL SPECIAL:
VIRGO ATTRACTION SECRETS: Every sign has unique talents and abilities they can apply toward attracting the things, people and experiences they want in life. VIRGO's attraction power is their slavery to detail.
In a world of generalities and sameness, Virgo looks for what makes others unique. This sign has the patience and focus necessary to key in to the tiny clues to a person's soul. Virgo is naturally inclined to listen for nuances of tone in a loved one's voice, to read gestures and to retain the facts of casual conversation.
When a person realizes how carefully Virgo has attended to their particularities, this is the ultimate flattery. Feeling understood, the recipient of Virgo's affection is bound to the source of this validation. It's notable that the reason Virgo observes others so thoroughly is that Virgo is used to applying this same specificity to the minutiae of his or her own life.
Virgo is a picky sign that knows exactly what is pleasing and what is annoying, and has no problem telling the rest of the world how to be of service. There's grace in this pickiness. Virgo is on the road to perfection, and what could be more attractive than perfection?
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Virgo chanteuse Fiona Apple writes and performs with such delicate intensity that she fascinates fans and foes alike. She hit the airwaves this past year again with the highly anticipated release "Extraordinary Machine." Her fiercely dedicated following thanked her by making her tour a sell-out. Virgo artists strive to please themselves first -- attracting an audience is not the aim, but a welcome bonus.

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
