Mercury, the master of messages, moves into the diplomatic realm of Libra. His motto as he transits the Libra path is: "with liberty and justice for all." Legal efforts go exceedingly well under this influence, which lasts through Oct. 1. We're more willing to compromise and strive for the highest common interest.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You become more powerful through your silence than any words could make you. It's not difficult to do once you realize the effortless and copious benefits of saying nothing.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). It takes great daring to follow your whim. It also takes listening skills, directed inward, since your impulses are more like whispers than shouts now. Your reward is pleasure and discovery.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Whoever said that life isn't a dress rehearsal hadn't seen the contents of your closet. Who to be or not to be has far more to do with your interior than your exterior. Today is for working on your character.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You're like the sage on the mountaintop. Your pursuit of inner peace is admirable, but how do designer labels fit into the picture? Reconciling your spiritual practice and commercial interests will be a challenge.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). A new character enters the stage of your life. Is this person destined to be a bit player or to take a leading role? It's up to you. The beginning stages of a relationship set the tone for the rest.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Sept. 12). You're an antennae for important information. By acting on the messages you receive through the "ether," you'll be able to take full advantage of life's cycles of abundance. A true love is your constant companion. A lighthearted association brings lucrative business your way in November. Capricorn and Pisces people are fantastic for your ego! Lucky numbers are: 40, 21, 43, 27 and 31.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). The stars highlight your ability to be unswerving in your dedication. Wanting something that's irresistible to you is key. Tonight, you're too busy to worry what others think of you, which is so attractive.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You're thinking more about what you want than about what you'll have to do in order to attain that goal. This is good, since the former will drive you, and the latter will only overwhelm you.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Intuitively, you create much-needed structure in your work. Perhaps you sign up for a course or enlist the help of a tough teacher. The benefits of rigorous discipline will be numerous.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You realize for the first time that you're involved in a task that's not worthy of you. The sooner you break free, the better. Scorpio people can help you in this matter.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You pour your attention into someone with an arresting personality. Perhaps this fascination will be short-lived. That's all the more reason to make it memorable.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You won't be the only one to benefit from your success. Once you know that others want you to succeed, you have a license to go full steam ahead.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Introspection gets tedious. You're ready to throw the attention off of yourself and onto a project. You'll still be learning about yourself, but you'll be having more fun doing so.
ASTROLOGICAL SPECIAL:
LIBRA ATTRACTION SECRETS: Every sign has unique talents and abilities they can apply toward attracting the things, people and experiences they want in life. LIBRA's attraction power is poetry. Not the kind of poetry that's written in words — not necessarily — but the kind that's written in their lifestyle choices.
Their careful way of dressing. Their movement, like a kind of restrained dance. The way they gravitate to gorgeous environments. The way they temper their gregarious social personality with surprising, lonely silences.
Libra's potential partners are drawn to Libra's lyrical voice and the unusual rhythms of Libra's body language. Libra's lovely eccentricities are also represented on the larger scale — where they live and what they do for a living has a dash of art or novelty to it. The strangest part of Libra's allure is that Libra is largely unaware of it.
As a Venus-ruled sign, flirtation and seduction are second nature. With balance and partnership at the core of their values, Libra's instinctive behavior, at a basic level, is a kind of ballet to entice their perfect counterpart. For this reason, Libra should not over-think romance, as their inborn guidance is stellar.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: As a Virgo, Oliver Stone weaves his attention to detail into beautiful, passionate films that convey his highly original vision. A Hollywood renegade for more than 25 years, Stone often works outside the traditional Hollywood establishment. I see his most recent work, "World Trade Center," as his most personal and gratifying yet. I predict the Golden Globes and the Oscars will feel the same way.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
