The concept of a "higher self" is not difficult to understand, but often, we don't recognize the response of that wise internal witness to our lives because we are distracted by the persistent needs of the ego. The waning Pisces moon is on a mission to bring your higher self down to earth -- closer, louder and more persistent.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're finally able to relax to such a degree that you can tune in to those random thoughts that might normally waft across your mental screen undetected. These thoughts are rich in humor, wisdom and insight.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You have sensuality and guts, playfulness and passion. You integrate these aspects of your personality seamlessly. It's no wonder a loved one is fascinated by your colorful complexity.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're a giver, and giving is what you do. Although, you'll wonder this afternoon how much more you have to give. Don't worry, there's more. Your act of giving is what is creating the "more."

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Right feels so right to you today, and wrong feels so wrong. Maybe you have never been this sure before. It's as though certain answers have been in your heart since before the world was made.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Nature doesn't often tug your soul, but if you've never been startled by a thunderous flock of pheasants or awed by the forever echo of your voice through miles of canyon, this is an excellent time to pursue such experiences.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (April 23). Your mission is coming together beautifully! You may start off not knowing where to put your energy, but in the next six weeks, you find or hone your message and learn how to put it across. May is powerful for your personal life. Three key decisions allow love to blossom. You have especially strong connections with Virgo and Scorpio people. Your lucky numbers are: 30, 2, 14, 39 and 20.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). There is never enough room, money or time. This is good news, since it means you don't have to wait for perfect circumstances. Jump into your new adventure. Just do it now.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). For hundreds of generations, humans have believed themselves to be born into a certain station in life, and that's that. So your desire to leap past the expectations of everyone around you may still feel crazy, but it's not.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Consistency is overrated, especially in regard to your personal life. You're innocent one minute and streetwise the next. As long as you keep vacillating between extremes, you'll remain a compelling mystery to others.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Use your visionary talent instead of relying on data to guide you. Studying the past is one way to learn about the future, but it's not the best way, since it can't take into account the impact of invention.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Today brings a chance to form an alliance or join a group. Your power increases with the more people you know. It's also lucky to introduce folks who have something to gain from one another.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You're like a child at a magic show, obsessed with how it all comes together. You think of the angles the average person wouldn't consider. The stars align to bring you the opportunity to make use of this talent.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). The way to progress is through fixing things. Blame can only impede this effort, so you're in a position to forgive and forget. Tonight, you have special luck in predicting games of chance.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: There are caves in southwestern France called Lascaux, where the earliest known paintings have been preserved for thousands of years -- some scientists date the art to 25000 BC. Of all the images available to early man, what did he celebrate? Bulls. Muscular, marvelous, powerful creatures that have since been worshiped by countless cultures. In Greek mythology, Zeus took the form of a bull in order to win the breathtaking beauty Princess Europa. She was compelled to climb on the beast's back, and he whisked her away. Unfortunately for Europa, Zeus was more about the chase than about having meaningful relationships, so as a sort of notch on his belt, he commemorated the conquest with a sort of snapshot of a bull in the sky -- the constellation Taurus. This week, the first full week of the 2006 solar journey through Taurus, brings the steadfast, strong, stable energy that bulls have been attributed with through the ages. An impressive amount of work can be accomplished, and all it takes is singularity of purpose. The new moon on Thursday is an opportunity to steel your resolve. It's also a time to, as the saying goes, "Keep it simple, stupid."

CELEBRITY PROFILES: From small-town Texas girl, to the first "American Idol," to multiplatinum recording artist, giant-voiced Kelly Clarkson is one centered Taurean. Taurus rules the throat, and many top singers are either Taurus sun signs or have Taurus energy featured prominently in their charts. This year features the resolution of Clarkson's "issues" with American Idol, which could be resolved with a grand gesture from the company that introduced her to the world.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
