The sun and Saturn are like loving parents who disagree on the best way to raise children. The sun says, "Let them be creative, outrageous and bold. Let them learn from the consequences of their own mistakes." Saturn says, "They need discipline and order!" Both routes extend like a fork in the road. You get to decide for yourself which to take.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Key info comes from the general public. You may have to ask first, though -- or get tuned in to people's faces and what those looks really mean. A bonus: When you pay attention, you'll figure out that someone is flirting with you.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Your interests are best served by working your social network. Be thoughtful, send post cards, call just to say hi. Mix and mingle over lunch. The friends you make now will keep you in mind for future opportunities.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You have eyes bigger than your bank account and should hide the credit cards for safe measure. This afternoon, you're extraordinarily inventive and will implement ideas that put you ahead of the trend.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). A little shameless self-promotion goes a long way toward keeping you on the "hot" list. Perhaps you can find a sneaky way of leaking your success story out so that VIPs hear it through the grapevine.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Finances are unnerving. Try this mantra on for size: I am not defined by how much money I make. Mentally exclaim and repeat it often, and you'll remain poised when you need to be.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (April 24). You belong in the creative mix this year -- in fact, your influence is sorely needed! In May, exciting events happen one after the other. June's financial changes bring the opportunity to get in on the ground level of something lucrative. September brings colorful travel. The partnership you establish in August is golden. Leo and Pisces people adore you! Your lucky numbers are: 18, 45, 1, 29 and 9.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). To some people, staying home under the covers and reading "how-to" books doesn't sound like a heavenly way to blow off the day, but you're not some people. Incubation/hibernation is part of your creative process.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). There's money to be made by someone -- why not you? One connected friend can introduce you to whomever you need to know. Once the ball gets rolling, you'll have more opportunities than time to explore them.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). A loved one gives you insight into his fragile soul. You're more alike than you previously thought. Now that you know, you'll probably choose to be gentler.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You and a special person are really "clicking" now. Time seems to stand still in the world you co-create. The two of you, like butterflies, count not hours, but eternal moments.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Love, supposedly, leads you back to yourself. This is difficult to see when loved ones act in a manner you cannot identify with. Objectivity is needed. Go to the movies to get your mind in another world for a while.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). The day's events bring out another part of your personality. You may even feel you're a stranger to yourself -- but an attractive stranger, all the same.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your greatest joy today is in learning about someone, getting to know the sound of this person's voice, finding out what games he or she likes to play and what collections delight him or her.
ASTROLOGICAL SPECIAL, PART ONE OF FOUR: Is "What's your sign?" your pick up line? It's an old classic, to the point of being cliche -- but it can still work to open the conversation. That is, if you know how to follow it up! If the answer to this question is ARIES, you can offer up these tidbits: (SET ITAL) Did you know that Mercury is in your sign right now? Have you noticed yourself being more outspoken than usual lately? (This is good through May 5th.) What do you put all of your fiery energy into? I heard that Aries people like to run with a posse! Is that true for you? (END ITAL) If the answer is TAURUS, you can say: (SET ITAL) Oh, then it's right around your birthday now. What day is your birthday? (This is good through May 20th). Taurus is known for having an interesting voice. What songs do you sing when no one is looking? Taurus people are supposed to be drawn to luxury. What's your splurge? (END ITAL) If the answer is GEMINI, you can reply: (SET ITAL) Is it true you have a good twin and a bad twin? What's the last mischievous thing you've done? Do you play sports? I heard that Gemini is playful and competitive. What's your cell phone plan? (END ITAL)
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Actor Jason Lee wows audiences with his subtle and commanding movie-star performances and entices TV viewers each week with his off-the-wall comedic character, Earl, in the hit sit-com "My Name is Earl." With his natal Mars in Gemini, Lee's quirky qualities are deeply ingrained in his personal life, as well. Case in point, the name of his young son is Pilot Inspektor.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | Hola Amigos! I'm Sandra. I like to believe that people are 70 percent good and 30 percent dumb. I'm stickin to that story. Reading this blog might make you want to be good, but probably just dumb. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
