The Leo moon is a lion king — sometimes loyal, fierce and puffed up with pride, sometimes playful, generous and childlike. Adopting the latter attitude will help you avoid the former. Upholding pride is a lot of unnecessary work and wasted energy. Besides, there's no need to prove yourself. Start at whatever level you are and work from there.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). The difference between daily survival activities and today's activities is significant. The stars illuminate the fancy, novel or grand way to approach things. Virgo and Pisces people are your winning partners.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You put some effort into spoiling your friends and feeding them well, too. No one does this as well as you now. You explore gourmet territory with ease.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Change up your family phone ritual by talking at length with someone you rarely say more than a few words to. The planets cheer on your in-depth questions -- you may learn something new about your heritage.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Self-awareness is high, which will allow you to pinpoint your preferences. Personal development pays off in unforeseen ways. Tonight you could give an impressive performance.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). What you once saw as impossible is now just another thing you do. You can effectively translate your success in one area of your life into another area that is lacking.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Sept. 17). In years past, you've been optimistic and hopeful. This year brings the thing you were hoping for. A financial strategy pays off well in November. Group activities that happen in the next 10 weeks bring surprising and happy memories -- it's the crazy details that make your life so fun. Scorpio and Sagittarius people cheer you on. Your lucky numbers are: 19, 34, 25, 41 and 43.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). A few surprises along the road of love keep it fresh and sparkly. The stars urge you to create your own thrilling mystery, as love can fall flat in the time it takes to wait for something exciting to happen.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). There's not a moment to waste in monitoring your progress. Go forward without asking how you're doing. You're doing great. Besides, the important part is really that you're DOING instead of merely thinking.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Though you're very communicative, the best way to get your point across is to do so spontaneously, naturally and playfully. The words "We need to talk" have the opposite affect, and are best banned.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). With whom you spend the day matters more than how you spend the day. Similar scenarios play out in completely different ways when new people are involved, especially Cancer people.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). This day plays like a movie flashback. There are numerous opportunities to engage in past horrors, but you choose to put them behind you instead -- how empowering!

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It's time to let go of your attachment to a dangerous, destructive and/or simply bad-for-you old friend. What worked in the past doesn't fit into your vision of your chosen future.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Complex decisions are yours to make. When in doubt, consult a male colleague, especially a Capricorn or Virgo person, and get a better perspective. However, you're still the final word.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: Henry James said, "Summer afternoon -- summer afternoon ... the two most beautiful words in the English language." William Carlos Williams said, "In summer, the song sings itself." The poetic poignancy of the season is ever stronger in the early week as we realize that the cherished, sensual season is almost over. To add drama to the matter, a solar eclipse and new moon on Friday usher in the transit. The last hours of summer blow out like a birthday candle — with a swift breath and a wish. Friday evening, we welcome the autumnal equinox — a magical passage of the sun into Libra's realm of harmony, balance and beauty. Through the ages, this cosmic happening has been celebrated as a completion of the harvest. Whatever your "harvest" is, the Virgo sun helped you organize and account for it. Now the Libra sun will help you process and share it. The most important question of the weekend is not "how" but "who." Libra emphasizes teamwork, especially partnerships involving two people. Choose your company carefully, because you'll probably be spending a lot more time with the folks you surround yourself with this weekend.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Legendary Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong is a perfectionist Virgo who expects nothing but the best from himself in all aspects of his life. He's a dedicated father and a dignified athlete. What makes him a champion is that he delivers each and every time on these high-stakes expectations. I see a new love relationship for Armstrong. The press will call it an unlikely match.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
