Summer concerts: Bring on the Big Names |

Page 1 of 7 Break out your wallets, there’s no turning back now. The summer concert lineup at northern Colorado and Denver venues is promising.
Although some large acts passed Denver by this year (thank you, Madonna), the summer is still packed with must-see shows like Dave Matthews Band Sept. 12-13, the Black Eyed Peas May 21, and Rob Thomas and Jewel on June 28.
There are also a few shows on the lineup that should be good, if for nothing more than the sheer bizarreness of the combinations, like Tom Petty and Pearl Jam together at Pepsi Center July 2-3 and Sinead O’Connor as part of Reggae on the Rocks Aug. 19 at Red Rocks.
On the homefront, take note of the Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins, whose summer list includes Ministry, George Clinton and Dwight Yoakam.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
