 But how does it play?
Reporters, developers and assorted hangers-on got to be the first outside Sony Corp. to try out much-anticipated Playstation 3 demo games on Monday night.
Eight walls of six TVs each were equipped with PS3s that were turned on after executives finished touting the system and company with choking corporate-speak.
An example from Kazuo Hirai, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America: "Our mission is to create products that truly inspire and entertain the world." And: "Online and networking for the Playstation 3 is as essential as the air that we breathe."
No, air is essential. The PS3 is an extremely nonessential luxury item that'll cost at least $499 when it goes on sale Nov. 17 in the U.S.
But still, the bottom-line question remains: How are the games?

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
