'Open Season' hunts down No. 1 at box office |

 Ashton Kutcher — animated and otherwise — is having a good weekend.
His kid comedy "Open Season" debuted at No. 1 with $23 million at the weekend box office while his Disney drama "The Guardian," in which he co-stars with Kevin Costner as a Coast Guard rescue swimmer, scored second place with $17.7 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.
The previous weekend's leading flick, Paramount's "Jackass Number Two," fell to third place with $14 million, raising its 10-day total to $51.5 million.
The weekend's other new wide release, the MGM-Weinstein Co. comedy "School for Scoundrels," opened at No. 4 with $9.1 million. The movie stars Jon Heder ("Napoleon Dynamite") as a wimpy meter maid caught up in a war of wills with a con man (Billy Bob Thornton) who teaches an extreme confidence-building class.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk.
