Earth-sign energy drives the day. The Taurus sun and the Capricorn moon are old friends and partners in industry. Take advantage of their productive relationship by immersing yourself in your work well past 5 p.m., regardless of what the resulting compensation might be. You'll probably hit the sack tonight feeling supremely useful.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You'll soon come to the end of your supply of something you use on a daily basis. It's time to fortify your reserves now, when you'll get the best deal available. Note: The thing in question may not be a material item.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). People work for your attention and want all of it. When loved ones speak, listen carefully to the whole story, because not listening would be cause for future embarrassment or misunderstanding.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Humility is an important value today. It's both polite and necessary to say thank you this afternoon. You say it in a way that lets everyone know you're genuinely grateful.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). When faced with a difficult challenge, it's natural to take a step backward, but the most successful move is to hold your ground, unflinching in your demonstration of confidence.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). In order to solve your domestic issue, you're better off leaving the neighborhood, the city or even the country. The Internet makes it convenient to seek answers from the world at large.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (May 16). Auspicious changes and grand accomplishments are in store this year! This month features an unforgettable romantic encounter. Next month's timely effort puts money in your savings account to be invested in November. Vacations come at a discount if you can do a little work at the same time. Lucky signs to partner with are Cancer and Virgo. Your lucky numbers this year are: 14, 39, 3, 7 and 19.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Intricate business moves are featured. You're exactly the right person to pull off this grand ballet. In general, life gets easier when you dedicate yourself to developing others.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Maybe it was your easy laughter or your openhearted smile, but you've somehow attracted a tag-along. Be more than polite. Give this pitiful soul a little of your time. You won't regret it.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The challenges presented to you in the area of work are steep, indeed. Use the word "impossible" sparingly, if at all. Someone is going to prove that it can be done, so it may as well be you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). It seems like practical matters should come first, but the opposite is true. Do you really want to be remembered for how organized your receipt drawer is? Involve yourself in the whimsical, absurd and passionate!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You're the one to keep hope alive. When you align with the greater good, you can accomplish your most ambitious aims. Security comes when you trust yourself, not money.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). "Happy medium" is the magic phrase; you've found it, and others are more comfortable around you because of it. Also note: Investing in a pal's venture is safe for your friendship.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're mad about someone new. How do you bring this fabulous person closer in to your fold? Welcome your chance to be childish, playful and irresistible.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "At a time when so many of my friends are out of work, I'm doing great. I just got the promotion I've wanted since day one, and I couldn't be prouder about it. Then, not a week after I celebrated this move, my boyfriend of three years broke up with me! I can't believe it. It seems like every time something good happens in my career, something negative happens in my love life, and vice versa.  I was born April 3.

Aries are single-minded, purposeful people. They, unlike other signs, refuse to compromise when they really want something. This one-track mind causes Aries, and sometimes Virgos, to neglect everything but the object of their desires. For this reason, when an Aries is truly in love, they can captivate this new romance quite quickly, because not only does the attention overwhelm the current love, their passionate approach to life is also irresistible. Aries businesswomen and men are more likely to be chief executives because of those traits. I know it hurts now, but it really won't take long to get over this relationship. You need a supportive man who admires your ambition and has enough going on in his own life that he won't resent it when you're in heavy "focus" mode.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Comedian Bob Saget started out as a risque stand-up comedian, and then moved on to play a wholesome sitcom dad in "Full House," and now, he's back to his old stand-up ways. Many Taurus comedians (including Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld) play it rated "G" or "R" with equal success. In the future, I see him taking a cue from fellow comic Howie Mandel and hosting a popular new game show.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
