The Taurus moon stimulates the appetite, and not just the appetite for food. Once your brain settles on an object of desire, it'll be nearly impossible to think of anything else under the stubborn Taurus moon. Therefore, many hours are dedicated to satisfying all kinds of cravings, especially the kind that are impossible to satisfy.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). If you sat and thought about all the ways a potential new relationship could unfold, you would never hit upon the magical, surprising way it will actually unfold if you'll only dive in!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). One issue looms larger on your mind than all the rest. Once solved, so much will fall into place. Liberate an hour to take a walk. The answer to your problem is written on the fresh air.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). A long and arduous project will be worth it in the end. So get to the end. Keep going. Don't quit until you get to the champagne pop and the roar of the crowd.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Does the onset of a bad mood deter your plans? Of course not! So it's hard for you to imagine how others could change the schedule for piddly reasons. Your tolerance is required.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You have a certain outlook, a certain point of view, a certain understanding of things. Perhaps your nearest and dearest aren't getting you as they should, but that doesn't make your stance any less valid.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Oct. 8). You're energized by life this year, doing what you love and loving what you do. The next seven weeks represent changes, big and small, that add to your vitality. A stranger who comes into the scene in November is a catalyst. A special relationship inspires a move in March. Cancer and Aries people are integral to your support system. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 3, 25, 11 and 30.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Your nurturing qualities are needed -- in fact, others are depending on your special brand of tough love. The "tough" part doesn't hurt at all because the "love" part is so strong.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Standing in the rain, you might get soaked, chilled and muddied. Or you might get renewed, inspired and cleansed. A poetic vantage point helps you embrace life's contradictions.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Life is swell. Just when you're starting to get a touch bored, this afternoon, a funny thing happens. OK, so maybe it's only funny to you ... but that counts, doesn't it?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Because you have unbounded admiration for someone, you may exceed your spending limit on such things as dinners, gifts or parties. Oh, how you enjoy yourself in the process.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You're on a first-name basis with important people. You could make one phone call and help out a friend enormously. However, keep in mind that such connections are yours because you don't ask too many favors.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You've been putting up with things you normally wouldn't allow.  A remark here, a clutter-pile there, a little bad behavior from the kids ... it does add up. The stars help you clear a few of these issues by sundown.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Emotional support comes in a feminine package. Reach out to the women in your family, particularly a grandmother or elderly aunt. She needs your strength as well, but may be too proud to admit it.

    FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:

Libra is unique because it's the only sign of the zodiac not represented by a person or animal. Once upon a time, the scales of justice were upheld by a goddess, but whatever happened to her is anyone's guess. Perhaps she got tired of the constant weighing of opinions, sins and souls and, being the magical sort, as goddesses tend to be, left the scales to handle the job alone. Who can blame her? This week you may feel like doing the same. It's challenging enough to decide what constitutes a right and wrong choice for yourself, but doing it for your friends, family, clients, customers and anyone else you come into contact with is an exercise in futility. Deciding not to be the judge is perhaps the best judgment call you can make. The sun, Neptune, Mercury and Uranus confirm this. These planets are rooting for us to do some intricate teamwork, and having to dislike or criticize the other people on the team will stop the progress. So most of us are looking for common ground, binding agents, great unifiers. There will be a successful outcome for this determined search, and Friday the 13th will actually be quite fortunate.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Rachel McAdams wowed audiences with her subtle yet attention-grabbing performances in films such as "Mean Girls," "The Notebook" and "Wedding Crashers." As the Libran artistic purist she is, McAdams carefully selects interesting roles to satisfy her artistic thirst. So true to her independent spirit, she even shies away from the Hollywood lifestyle by living in her Canadian homeland.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
